  1. There is no reward you can get to have reserve class seating. You must be in a full suite or reserve class mini suite. It doesn’t matter if it is your 1st cruise or 80th cruise
  2. Also the SD’s have a set menu over a 21 day cruise that could get very boring
  3. Yes the old plan was just for the production shows the new one adds on things like guest singers, magicians and comedians etc
  4. Even at 8:00 on the Grand last week reserve dining was still 2/3 full as was the MDR
  5. We are staying as far as possible from sphere class ships after speaking with friends on our last cruise they were no thrilled at all. Our usually dinks are Buffalo Trace bourbon and Grey Goose vodka both fit in plus package. $60 more per day on our 14-21 day cruises would not work for us
  6. We book aft suites only and have never had a soot issue on any class ship
  7. No it would show what a mistake the system is. Normally we would only do 2-3 specialty dinners over a 14-21 day cruise
  8. Royal class ships are noisy around the piazza area due to its construction and placement of lounges and restaurants. This being said the aft penthouse suites are incredible and have massive balconies. We prefer grand class burnt due sail Royal if the itinerary suits. We are actually booked in the Majestic for 20 days Boston-Quebec-Boston in 2025
  9. Reserve dining is a separate area of the MDR (main dining room). This area is limited to full suites and reserve class mini suites. The menu is the same as the MDR but there is an extra pasta or entree for this dining area only. No waiting, no reservations and dedicated wait crew.
  10. New captain and new crew. Great attitudes. We never asked how the were going to charge things in Alfredo’s just asked for one salad and one pizza they even split the pizza on 2 plates. Never took more than 45 minutes to eat. We were so impressed we have cancelled our Panama cruise in January and switched to the Grand to Hawaii
  11. Waiters have priority in the kitchen so food is always proper temperature, same wait crew every meal and extra entrees every meal Meals never take too long and they will adjust timing to our preferences
  12. O I spent the first 20 years of cruising as a younger version of me cramming 3 people into insides just so I can cruise. As I got older and financially better off I moved up to balconies the mini suites now full suites. I don’t see why you think I am set in my ways. I use the plus package for my 10 drinks a day , CA and Wi-Fi. I get one free specialty dinner and can afford one other each cruise. We split casual meals so that gives us 4 lunches if we don’t want to go into port sometimes. We don’t take photos anymore, have our own gym routines, the desserts are way too much for even one a cruise. Why would I want to pay $60 per day extra per couple for the “new” premier when it didn’t make any sense when it it was $40 per day
  13. So people with the plan could book up both lunch and dinner every day if they wanted to That is not going to help in my opinion. We will stick with our suites and get embarkation dinner in SD and Reserve dining which we totally enjoy and if we feel like another SD we will prevail on the Sabatini’s breakfast manager or suite concierge to squeeze us in after 8:00. And yes this has been offered to us many times as in “We are full tonight but we Weill find a table for you”
  14. I really don’t want a massive meal in the middle of the day. Or pay dinner prices for lunch. MTG lunch is large enough that I skip breakfast those days
  15. Well on many ships there are only 2 SD venues so there would be no 3rd choice
  16. The first night will always be a hard one because all full suites get a complimentary speciality dinner on embarkation night We always eat late and never had problems but yes those who feel they have to eat by 6:00 have a bigger problem
  17. Sorry but as a suite / Plus plan customer I will expect them to roll over for me like they do now. I was told point back last week on the Grand not to worry about the app that they would always find room for me at Crown
  18. Wen you day late dining what times are you referring to we eat usually between 7:30 and 8:15 and never had an issue after talking to either a suite concierge or the manager of suite breakfast
  19. If that is the case I will propose having a bunch of folks take premier for a short cruise and using no specialty dinners to jam the MDR would that send them for a loop ?
  20. On the Grand over the last 2 weeks we shared one pizza 3 times and charcuterie plates at Vines 2 times no charges at all. In fact at Vines they suggest sharing
  21. The only free food at Vines were the small tapas When they went to the fill charcuterie board with crudités that is when the charge started. Different with the pizza places the food didn’t change but the price did. I do understand it though prior to a charge we were seeing 1 hour + wait times at them with tons of families ordering multiple pies and leaving half the slices to be thrown away
  22. I don’t believe they will be able to change the embarkation night dining cor suites without an uproar. We have never tried to move that dinner as Sabatini’s is our tradition on first night. We have paid for this privilege on cruises into 2026 and have the paperwork to prove it. Kind of like the 360 free dinners they grandfathered those who had already booked and only charged the new bookings I believe suites will always have privileges beyond those interiors regardless of packages
  23. Then where do you put all 3 types of MDR dining ? I book suites so I am guaranteed no wait dining. Also the ambiance of the MDR should not cost as much as Crown Grill
