That’s why we always take the plus package as opposed to premier. We sail 14-21 day cruises as a rule. The plus package includes our normal drinks, we don’t do photos and if we want an occasional specialty dinner it is cheaper for us to pay for it rather than forking out anther $20 per person per day
On the Princess website pull up the cruise if you are booked and choose travel summary. If you haven’t yet booked the go to cruises pull up the cruise you want and the itinerary will show
We usually google the ship name and sailing date to see if there are any group bookings. We have had a few cruises with football fans etc. not usually an issue unless it is a real big group. The worst I remember was in the early 1990’s when a square dance group brought their on music to the disco and wanted that kind of music. This was when DJ’s actually listened to requests or the cruise that had a large number of anti drinking anti gambling ryors who would stand outside bars and casino trying to hand out pamphlets
Have ever been able to do that in restaurants at home ? Most restaurants have a by the glass selection and a by the bottle selection. They really do not want tons of bottles open back in the galley
Vines menu has only a few wines. For dinner we often want an old vine Zin or other one off wines. We get the package for cocktails mostly and have wine with dinner or late night casino time
There is really no crossover in benefits. The plus package includes WiFi, Gratuities, 2 casual meals, drinks in the MDR and bars. None of these come with suites. In our opinion the concierge lounge is really not that much. We only use it to grab an early morning coffee and get help with specialty dinner reservations. We would rather have pre dinner cocktails at bars with music
We usually order bottles at dinner so no problem with top offs. If you have a package you get a 25% discount. Much better wines and huge list much better then even wines by the glass at Vines
On every Grand class ship I have been on the last few years the house band has acted as a jazz band in various venues like Adagio or Wheelhouse several times every week. On nights where the theater had things like magicians etc and they didn’t need to be there we found them around ship. Check out your patter they have some really talented musicians
We have never had a problem getting reservations once on board. Unless you are people who must eat at 5:00 there are always tables open at 7:30 or later. Especially for embarkation night they leave tables open for suites
On the last 3 cruises we took there was an actual sign pointing people to the “regular “ entrance. Still people wanted to complain since they could see empty tables and didn’t want to wait
Sorry but that is not accurate for sodas. I always just ask for a Diet Coke. Some bars hand me a fountain drink and some a can. I have never bet charged in either situy
The plus package includes 2 casual meals not specialty meals. The Premier package has 2 specialty dinners. Specialties are like Crown Grill and Sabatini’s. Casuals are like Alfredo’s and Salty Dog Gastropub
