  1. To avoid all lines we always show up after 1:30. All the lounge hs is a bunch of folding chairs and then a mad rush when they open the ship
  2. If you eat all those desserts you may not be able to fit in the theatre seat. LOL
  3. I am not buying that story at all. Are these contractors paid commission for upsells ?
  4. On most ships I have only seen the Gastropub open for dinner. During the day it is full of people playing cards
  5. With 12 people around 2 pushed together tables I have no tea how you can really carry on conversations. Only I dining room will be for reservable tables at different times. 1 will be for traditional dining with only 2 sittings and 1 will be for walk-ins
  6. If they were going to bump up one plan I would bet they would bump them both up. Any bet this was a ONE employee ?
  7. Yet here we are on the 18th and no 2026 Alaska cruises
  8. We ordered our medallions last month for a cruise sailing on the 31st. Now the app shows no medallions ordered. Ocean Ready claims it is a glitch and our medallions will show up by Friday. No tracking email nothing. Time will tell I guess
  9. Best thing about no sales tax here is you can even buy a car with no tax added.
  10. I have only ordered bottles in the MDR not Vines. In Vines I order a glass and pay the 18% only on any overage
  11. Ewe sail on the 31st. Medallions ordered a month ago and verified on the app Now the app show no medallions ordered. The Ocean Ready folks say oh it’s just a glitch you will have your medallions by tomorrow. Time will tell
  12. Tax ? Here in Oregon we have no sales tax. It shocks me now when I travel to Washington or California and see tax on a receipt. We usually tip 20% but when in states with sale tax we don’t tip on that portion
  13. You will need to contact the Ocean Ready Dining line. Since you are in Reserve category the app will not allow you to make reservations in a different dining room. They will need to over ride the system.
  14. I have never been charged a gratuity when buying bottles of wine in the MDR
  15. Best bet in most ports is to get away from the area around the pier’s especially in Juneau
  16. Fast food employees in Oregon do not make $20 + per hour. Minimum wages here are different depending on what county you are in. And no I do not tip at Taco Bell
  17. What does the Coral have to do with the Crown ?
  18. Isn’t that more like quarters and dollars with Oceania ?
  19. I would rather follow my own workout regimen in the gym
  20. And I cannot believe the wine pairing is $50 on its own
  21. We tip extra in MDR and bars at the end of the cruise since we use these daily. Room service for us is very rare so we just let the CA take care of it. For those who don’t want to tip at all on sailings out of the US because they come from a non tipping culture I say remember where you are and follow the culture where you are not where you come from
  22. So where is this being delivered ? Sounds more like UBD than chefs dinner. No time or dining room noted ?
  23. We have always encountered long lines outside the terminal early in the day. We generally go across the street when we see the line have some lunch and the come bs k around 1:30 and all lines are gone simply walk through and get on board
  24. Vines has a set menu of veggies, charcuterie and truffles. I don’t think I would waste a casual meal for just crudités. Planks and steamers are basically meat and seafood. If you are on a ship with other venues you might be luckier
  25. About the only time we use room service is when we have Covid or other illnesses that keep us in our cabin. In that case we do not tip
