  1. Bartenders are not part of the crew appreciation that you pay. They have their own contracts. If we patronize a bar quite a bit during a cruise and have established a relationship with the bartenders we always tip out at the end of the cruise even though we have a package which is supposed to include gratuities on drinks
  2. I understand that but you can pay to upgrade from 1device to 4 my wife does it all the time on our plus package. We do longer cruises of 14-21 days so to pay an extra $20 per person per day would add quite a bit to our fare and we are fine with the drinks under the plus package
  3. If you have an actual full suite then you are in Reserve dining and reservations are not needed or even allowed Are you in a suite or a balcony cabin ?
  4. Again with the menus being available in the morning on the app and TV we never have had an issue with getting into Crown Grille or Sabatini’s that evening between 7:30 and 8:00
  5. I would suggest being a bit flexible. Some diners who want 5-6 courses and eat at 5:30 or so may not be finished by 7:00 to free up the table. We only eat 3 courses and are usually done in just over an hour or so
  6. Please explain what working during a cruise has to do with the premier package over the plus package ? The only reason I see for premier is the higher priced wines. Both have WiFi and tips included. The 2 specialty dinners are nice but not sure they are worth $20 per person per day
  7. I have a fairly large CPAP which fits on the bed stand, I have no issue with humidity do I don’t use water in it I would suggest you bring an extension cord if you are used to sleeping on one side or another there may not be a plug near you. If you ask them to supply one it will be one of those heavy duty industrial ones
  8. That Canadian regulation has been around for several years. Wish they would warn people in advance. Caught us by surprise right after the restart. All booze had to be locked up before Canadian authorities come on board or they face a huge fine
  9. There is no such thing as. 12 person table best to break it up
  10. What were you looking for as far as dining times ? We always eat after 7:30 and have not had an issue on any ship
  11. I just let my CzVP know what cruise and what my cabin priorities are and they take care of it
  12. That was your first shipboard romance or your last ?
  13. I haven’t been married my entire life. Between wives I partied quite a bit
  14. They only ship to US and Canadian addresses. If your cruise is in the next few weeks it is too late to get them mailed and must be picked up at embarkation. The type of cabin makes no difference
  15. I would not expect much help from the contractors at future cruises. If you have an issue I would go though your CVP or TA to fix issues. It seems that once they make the a sale they don’t really care much
  16. Just wish the IC would bring back the salads at lunch on Grand class ships. Mostly all sandwiches. However I do love the oatmeal and raisin cookies
  17. Yes on that itinerary if there is a Victoria stop it is a full day On cruises out of Seattle it is just a quick stop. On 7 day cruises to or from Vancouver there is no need for that stop since it is not a RT to and from a US port. Just to note once you stop in Victoria casino closes for the rest of the cruise and only 1 bar per deck will be open due to Canadian regulations
  18. After seeing several people using their hands in the buffets over the last few cruise has turned us off of the buffet And yes very little change day to day for cheese, cold cuts and salads
  19. Just off the Ruby last month. Just a few door decorations and none very elaborate or political in nature
  20. I find those prices pretty high. We usually upgrade from a comp balcony and often pay around $10K for 2 with plus package on a 14-17 day cruise on Grand class ships
  21. That is definitely a tighter window than I would like. Good luck
  22. Has the OP actually booked yet ? I have not seen whether they have booked and if it includes a package. On last minute cruises very few penthouse aft suites are usually available the tend to sell out fast. We generally book them at least a year in advance Well my surprise there are some available on 7 day Mexico cruises however it looks like $14,000 to $18,000 for two. Pretty rich for my taste
  23. They may only have one person on the staff doing manicures. I often get haircuts and beard trims on board and there are limited slots because there is only one barber
