  1. Organic nowadays means many things. We went to a vineyard whose grapes made were grown using no pesticides or chemicals and no additives during the wine making process. They did have some sheep which would occasionally cut through the vineyard from one paddock to another, rather than go around. To be totally organic the sheep wouldn't be allowed in the vineyard as they had been in sheep dip. We were told it would cost a sizeable yearly fee to maintain organic certification and as their wines sold so well without certification they decided not to pay for it or claim they were organic on the labels.
  2. There are no shorex up yet for any ports past HK, so we will see but we might just go around Shimizu as well. we will be there twice as we are on HALs Noordam after the Diamond.
  3. Yes, living vicariously via our friends aboard and anyone else reporting on the cruise.
  4. We were going to do a cruise on the lake at the base of Mt Fuji and then a Tea ceremony. Not sure what we will do next year.
  5. We had some Pink Himalayan salt, very confused with the timing of our buying it as it was 250 million years old but with an expiry date of 2024. picture is an example
  6. It is a great way to spend time in both the Interepid itself, the Submarine and the Space Hanger.
  7. Smartraveller also has health information for each country and the respective requirements.
  8. Glad all your incidents ended safely for you both. I had an issue when I was younger that concerned Devon. My son (3years old) really liked it but we couldn't get any in Adelaide as they call it Fritz there, unfortunately he wanted Devon not Fritz and couldn't be told.
  9. I would think if you have deliberately picked a cabin, you are both unlikely to want an upgrade and or bid for an upgrade.
  10. I think it is quite wrong to keep children in a zoo no matter how feral they are.
  11. We had to cancel this years Royal Princess cruise to Japan and booked the Diamond cruise instead and went for a Minisuite guarantee.
  12. n 2016, the World Health Organization extended the validity of the ICVP from 10 years to the life of the vaccinated person. This decision was based on evidence that a single dose of yellow fever vaccine protects most people for many decades.
  13. we have a Mini suite but it hasn't been allocated as yet.
  14. Great news, spell check changed it from Rolph to Ralph, sorry about the wrong spelling of Rolf.
  15. Does that mean you and Ralph will be joining us?
  16. We were obviously younger and just had the vaccinations but we will need renewals next year as the 10 years are up. What is the age threshold for exemptions? I would imagine a note or letter from a medical practitioner would cater for the exemption.
  17. It is strange, just checked again, no where does it say gratuities are included for our cruise. The is a pre pay grats button, but no way to pre pay, except to call the TA to sort payment of cruise. Very puzzling. I really would not be surprised to find A) grats are already incurred, or B) grats are added daily.
  18. Sorry to hear about your fall, hope you recover fully. Grief can be weird as it can hit you most unexpectedly and not necessarily when you think it might. Today would have been my mum's birthday, and yet it doesn't seem like a sad day (yet). That said a few weeks ago something I was watching triggered me. All I can say is, grief is different for everyone and even about different people.
