  1. Cunard had the Queen Elisabeth there she is 294m back in 2020, just before Covid.
  2. The Solstice is set to leave at 9.30am, my guess is the the pilot will get off and jump across to the Majestic so she can come in.
  3. Apparently, the Harbour master closed the port last night til 9am this morning. The Solstice couldn't leave and the Majestic couldn't come in.
  4. The edge was in Adelaide yesterday so would be on it's way to Hobart
  5. With the weather and subsequent port closure keeping the Solstice there overnight, it is also keeping the Majestic Princess out at sea instead of overnighting at the OPT (where you are).
  6. It may be considerably more comfy on the Solstice than on the Majestic.
  7. And of course, the OP has total control over what gets posted in a thread they start.
  8. It will be at the OPT by Circular Quay and the Rocks area. The ship is too large to fit under the Harbour Bridge and get to the White Bay terminal.
  9. Ships larger than 300 metres cannot use the dock right in Cairns, also larger ships cannot moor very close to the township due to the tides and being to shallow. They have a channel which has been dug out and constantly dredged which would allow it closer but then the ship would block the channel for all other ships. Tendering would take much longer than 30 minutes and the ship is as well protected from weather changes. Yorkers know is considered a better option due to being a more sheltered area for tendering. All I know is that it is a real pain of a port when you are on a larger ship.
