  1. The three dots, top right of the message, choose REPORT.
  2. You might ask the question, specifying HAL and route, on the Australia&New Zealand board: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/48-australia-amp-new-zealand/ Maybe someone has taken a similar cruise.
  3. Wow, that is one full itinerary! I am at a loss for your formal/Gala/dressy nights! not only do you start off with seven days of port calls, most of them are 6pm or later departures! I'll guess Picton with 4pm all aboard, then one or more of the sea-days... but probably not the 10th as that is last night and in the past that wouldn't be Gala as people would have packed their tuxedos (haha).
  4. What is the cruise name and date? (so I can view the itinerary)
  5. I agree! This may be a one-and-done itinerary! I would even consider switching from So.Pacific cruise to this one, if we can't do both.
  6. Never did FCD -- I see the referral above for 3-21 days... what about longer cruises?
  7. Welcome to posting on Cruise Critic! You are more likely to find someone with an opinion on your question, on the Princess forum: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/119-princess-cruises/ Many members do not read the general boards and only go to the specific cruiseline boards to chat it up!
  8. Well, the "Best Price" is specified NON-refundable, while no mention on the HIA, so presumably HIA remains refundable. I would and will ask my PCC of course!
  9. Just one Specialty Dinner (for two) on a 28-day cruise... The Crew Appreciation and Beverage Package (even when it's SBP) do make HIA worth it for us, but I noticed the decrease in Specialty dinners on first read!
  10. I made two screen-shots of the table -- one showing up to 3* and one for 4* which we should attain this coming January!
  11. The ribeye in Pinnacle (on the Zaandam) in 2019 was also not up to par. Very fatty as I recall. I decided then to only get or recommend the lamb or crablegs (for those that eat shellfish). Thanks for the long story! We are booked with our "complimentary" HIA special meal in January so we will give them one chance. Then vote with our wallet if not special enough!
  12. Good points, all. Immaterial to the OP's not getting his CPP fees back. Interesting to read the FAQs again -- I hadn't since COVID! despite paying for the Platinum plan for my upcoming B2B.
  13. Yes I would not and did not choose the Vista for the size, but for the Mariner Points and location. Took an upsell (no additional Mariner points) on the Zaandam and it was great for three adults!
  14. We started a RCI transAtlantic in Barcelona. We spent 3-4 days in BCN visiting Montserrat with a meal at a winery, and self-walking to Christmas markets, etc. Xmas markets won't be there in the spring, but I would start or end a cruise in Barcelona any time!
  15. Because I have no other life! Well, I am starting my packing list!
  16. Yes, this is an active thread, here: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/topic/2898683-i-received-this-from-hal-booking-xxxxxxx-bonus-100-onboard-credit-offer/#comment-64428694
  17. How did you book? If a TA, they can put you down for Open Seating. If with a PCC or direct, just call back and specify your preference.
  18. I read initial doses and at least one booster...
  19. BDD: Sorry! it may have seemed like I was shaming you for excess luxury! I wasn't, just putting a condition on my advice. I am so glad you can afford the Neptune for your wife especially. I can't imagine living with a medical condition that just goes on and on, although my sister has had one and then another diagnosis since she was 16. We're in a Vista Suite for the first time (I was burning up some COVID dollars) at the end of this month, and I just moved us from an upper deck Verandah to the same Vista for 2024. So I am not Suite-adverse!
  20. If you are in a room without a balcony on Zaandam or Volendam, that doesn't have a fridge, you can rent one for very little. At least you could before COVID...
  21. Maybe in the lounge? DNK, never booked so lofty!
  22. The Panama region including Columbia, Costa Rica, and north into Mexico are very hot-n-humid (although you are going at pretty much the best time). You may have to wash your clothes more often if you are a "rewear the next day" person as we are! Check your ports' historical weather averages here: https://weatherspark.com/
  23. It appears you are referring to Cancellation Protection from HAL. This is never refundable because your moneys are immediately paid to the third party "insurer" they use. You indeed should not add HAL protection until just before making your final payment. Live and learn! There is no "look-back" period for health conditions for HAL Cancellation Protection, unlike actual insurance, even for the Platinum version that does have limited medical coverage.
