  1. Nope. Sabor will not sell chips and salsa or guacamole. Rats! We took our drinks to mini bites at the recommendation of a couple at the bar- they had they have great nachos?? But we got there at 5:39. They closed at 5:30. Nachos were not in the cards.

Thanks so much for asking! Bummer! But we will remember the suggestion about the nachos.

Thanks again for the great review. So glad to see that you all are having a wonderful time.

  2. When we were on Oasis, the Sabor charge was $22 per person.

    Thank you so much!

Wow! That is pricey. I just don’t think Sabor is worth that price for us. Unfortunately we have only eaten there once on our last trip on Allure. We really liked it and for the 3 of us, I think we only spent a little over $30 dollars. And that was with me ordering a glass of Sangria. I really don’t know why they changed it to a surcharge. So disappointing! We were looking forward to enjoying a meal there.

  3. Love all of your awesome videos! It is obvious that you guys have fun. It’s great that you have a group of friends that you can do this with.

This is something I would have done back in the day and even though I am crazy enough to do it now, nobody wants to see this 50 something dancing around like that! We’ll leave that to you guys!! Haha!!

  4. chengkp75, thank you so much for the information.

The poster with the picture of the Belkin must have been posting at the same time as I was. That is the exact same model that we have. I guess we will have to look for something else to use on the ship.

Do you have any ideas for extra outlets and USB combined?

  5. We use compression bags and large ziplocks for clothes. You have to be careful though, your suitcases can become too heavy as you are saving so much room!

We also use large Command hooks to hang backpacks, wet swimsuits, etc. We used these for our Alaska cruise and they held heavy wet coats to dry and the backpacks, no problem. We personally feel that these work better than magnetic hooks and you can reuse them also.

I also bought a cute little nightlight at the dollar store that looks like a sailboat for nighttime.

We take a charger port for our cell phones, iPads that have a couple of extra plugs in case we need them.

  6. Andrew thanks again for the great review! So glad that you all made it home safely and that your welcoming party of one was waiting for you!

Can’t wait for your Alaskan Adventure! It will be fun to see what excursions that you have planned.

We just did the 9 day on Radiance last year with 3 days in Anchorage on our own at the end. Alaska is just so beautiful!

  7. As to whether the suites are worth it: we are not Diamond level (yet, hopefully someday) so for us the extras that you get with a suite are worth it, to a certain price point. If the suites are too expensive then no we don’t feel they are worth it.

I guess it just depends on how much you are willing to pay and what you feel is worth that cost.

I must admit it is hard to go back to a balcony cabin. That concierge escort off the ship on the last morning past all of the lines is ALMOST worth any price. LOL!

    Have a wonderful cruise!

Wow! On what ships and itineraries have you been traveling?

We have had this perk as suite guests ONCE, and that was an accommodation by the Hotel Director in response to a complaint about another matter.

Last cruise we sat in the specialty restaurant while others in the theater and other areas were called to get off.

    Wonderful perk!!

We have sailed Allure 3 times, twice in a GS. Both times we signed up for a departure time and waited in the SL. When it was time to leave the concierge gathered us all up and escorted us to customs past ALL of the people standing in the lines. Best perk EVER!

  8. Andrew, say it ain’t so! Didn’t you guys just get on the ship yesterday? Life goes by entirely too fast. You need to do another B2B! Lol! When is your next cruise?

Thanks again for sharing your adventure with the rest of us. I know it takes time to do all of this and the scopes on your vacation. Thank Lisa and Owen for letting you take the time to do that!

    Safe travels home!

  10. And we then sat on our duffs and enjoyed Fine Line. I love the music from this show. There is a common similarity to all the other Aqua Theatre Shows; I still don’t have a grasp to the plot line but it is visually stimulating. Here are a few random pics from the show.

Andrew, I wonder if it is a Canadian thing with the plot lines. I don't understand them and neither does my son.

I think it’s an everyone thing! I haven’t met a person who gets them. But it doesn’t stop us from enjoying the show. We usually see it a couple of times a cruise.
