At aruba, the taxis were staged right by the gangway. I didn't see any other way to get to the actual gate besides walking.

Just got back. Chairs by Passions on Eagle Beach were $10 a chair. Cabs were $5 a person during the day. We went back over to the Palm beach area later in the evening and got charged a flat $16 each way. Not sure why there was a difference in price.

Well I've never been to Palm Beach, so no way to know until I asked.

I contacted them, and apparently they've stopped renting chairs. Something about local authorities restricting them. There's another farther up palm that stopped renting them too. Sounds like the hotels pushed them out.

With the dome diverting wind that way, I'm guessing those wings wouldn't be too easy to stand on anyway.

At that point it's too late to do anything about it though. They wouldn't exactly give a forwarding address in that case. I think it's more about one parent not having the other paren't consent to take the child out of the country and then something happening. The other parent has a legal case against Royal at that point.

Most likely Black friday will have a better price than you paid for the drink package anyway. The bogo 50% deal isn't the best price usually. If it makes you feel better to scream and escalate it until they honor it, by all means, go ahead. But if it were me I'd feel pretty dumb if I spent a bunch of time fighting for a worse deal than I could get otherwise.

That's probably my next thing to pursue. Absent of that, I may just see about getting copies of the trailer keys and getting off earlier and not having to worry about it. I'm just trying to get all of my ducks in a row so that morning isn't a cluster. Thanks for the replies

"pre-inaugural cruise" is gonna make some people mad.

I'm not worried about cost. UberX says 6 max. We have 7 and I'd rather keep everyone together as it's mainly teens, so I'm not sure that's a viable option. I'd be happy to book a shuttle, but my concern with booking one is giving them a time. With us having to make sure to meet up with the person with the trailer to give them the luggage in the parking lot, I'm just concerned that I just won't know what time everyone will be off the ship. I don't want them to have to wait on me, and I'd rather not have to wait around half an hour on them. How flexible on time are shuttle/limo bookings?

What sort of "for hire" shuttles/taxis are at the Port the day the cruise ends? We've got 7 people traveling together and going from the port to a hotel near MIA for our flight the next day. I'd just book a shuttle, but our situation is complicated as we are a part of a group cruise and one couple is driving and hauling everyone's luggage. That means everyone has to meet up once we get off the ship and get the luggage loaded in their trailer. That will make a pickup time to book a shuttle complicated. If there are for hire taxi vans/suvs there, that would probably be the simplest option.

I don't know if there was an official time limit, but in 2014 on Allure a group of us were sitting at a pool bar and were having a drinking day. The bartender asked if we all had the package which we all did. He had us give him us our cards and started making rounds of shots and drinks fast. I'm not sure why he took our cards is it wasn't to bypass some system timer.

That is a legit point. I was thinking as far as the rules of "can you", not about effects no-showing would have on the ship.

What would be the difference in doing this and coming back too late and the ship has left already?
