  1. Do they have Monster on the ships?
  2. Who knew saying something was too expensive and you'd stop cruising with Royal if they didn't make things cheaper wasn't complaining. But the reason you can't get the answer you are looking for is no one knows. It varies, by ship, itinerary, and cruise length. No one can tell you the lowest yours might get down to. We can all give anecdotal pricing that will do you no good though. And you can check prices on the website. Follow a link from one of the emails they send you trying to buy packages, but don't log in.
  3. Not sure what you are specifically searching for, but when Icon first opened, if you only put 2 in your room, it gave very limited availability. Adding a 3rd opened up a lot more as a lot of the rooms are built to fit 4.
  4. Hijack, but how are they handling muster at this point? Have they gone back to the everyone at one time drill or they still letting you go whenever you want?

    Party bars?

Are there any party bars that are like Senor Frogs or Carlos n Charlies in Aruba(or Curacao)? Something high energy with music and just a fun atmosphere. We are plotting out our trip and tend to want to find a place like that once on the cruise.
  6. She's wanting to book things for formal night and is worried they'll be booked up if she waits till she gets on board.
  7. Is there a way to email the spa on Symphony to ask questions about services? My wife has a few questions and figure it would be better to go to the source if possible.
  8. We are going to be going out of Ft Lauderdale in January and are currently looking for hotels. We are going to be in town for a few days before the cruise leaves. We'd like to find a place with fun nightlife within close walking distance. Bars, resturants, etc. Something like bayside in Miami would be ideal(we don't want to actually stay in Miami). So is there anything matching that close to Port Everglades port?
  9. Well as the context here is on the ship after you've already paid your cruise fare, they are indeed free. If someone was asking about a theoretical cost of a burger for a cruise they hadn't paid for yet, then the cost of the cruise would be relevant. To argue otherwise is just showing you have issues.
  10. So how much should I tip the porter for one hard side bag weighing 56 pounds, a soft side weighing 46 pounds, and 2 24 pound duffel bags? In case it matters the duffel bags are red and have a slight odor to them. TIA!
  11. Wouldn't removing charging privileges accomplish this? If he doesn't have an alcohol package, he can't buy a drink. Unless you are concerned with a bartender accidentally putting alcohol in a drink, but I don't think any step can prevent that from happening.
  12. Oh no doubt. I'd be horrified if people at work knew the user names I posted under.
  13. A lot of industries are having labor problems. I think the two biggest factors are that, first, a lot of people retired during covid. People who were close to retirement age(and a lot of people who weren't) either chose to retire, or were pushed out in cost cutting moves. This is especially true in trades and trucking, but I'm sure it's affected other industries as well. So this reduced the total labor pool. And because of this, and other factors, it led to a lot of companies increasing pay rates to poach labor from other companies. So companies on tighter margins, companies with less desirable jobs, and ones who were behind the curve on pay increases have had a harder time getting labor.
  14. In that case I'd absolutely look him in the eye and say he'd have to come back later.

  16. I called this week and got the deluxe for me and the refreshment package for my wife. They didn't question it at all.
  17. If you call and change it, would they reprice it then?
  18. Yes, 12673. Thats what posting in a rush gets you. lol Theres a family going with us who has a 3 people in a balcony room and 2 in the 2 person 12673. They need to add a person and they wanted to add them to the interior, but can't as its listed as a 2 person room. Moving to a 3 person interior takes them from $1700 total for the room to over $4,000 total, so that's not preferable. The plan is to add them to the balcony for a few hundred. They are hoping one of the kids can crash on the couch of the 2 person room some nights. Unofficially of course. Just wanted to do a little checking to make sure it wasn't for sure there wouldn't at least be a couch. Thanks for the responses.
  19. Do the 4v interiors on Symphony have a couch? I'm specifically looking at 12763. It is listed as a 2 person, but idk if that means it'll just have a chair, or if it'll still have a couch.
  20. Gotcha. Tipping staff extra for more service = Acid trip Complaining to the manager about something someone at least 4 pay grades above them decided = Kind and gentle The fact that you think going straight to the manager instead of tipping the steward is the way to win friends and influence them is about as delusional as it gets. No need reporting back. I have no doubt that you are so sure of yourself that even when you don't get what you want, you'll twist it to suggest you did.
  21. If you go over their head, you are getting the bare minimum from that point forward if not worse. These workers are motivated by money. If they aren't doing something I want done, and it's company policy not to do it, there is one way to get it done. Pay them. The steward knows his schedule and time constraints more than his manager or anyone at corporate. If you offer him more for a task, and the amount you offer is worth it to him he'll get it done. If he doesn't have time, he'll decline. You are asking for turndown, not for him to smuggle you some weed. Turndown isn't against corporate policy. I promise you very few people between that guys boss and Michael Bayley will give the slightest care if he makes some extra tips if it doesn't infringe on his other duties. If you go full Karen and complain to the manager, you absolutely aren't getting the extra service, and you complaint is not going any farther than that manager. He has no say in anything. If you want the people that make the decision to hear about it, there's ways to do it. Complaining to the rank and files will get nothing accomplished. You are getting one a day no matter what the previous service was. If you need two a day, you are going to have to tip more to have any chance at getting it, or pay more by getting a suite. Personally I don't care. In normal hotels, I leave the DND up the whole time I'm there. I don't need two a day. You down rating the staff without context just punishes the people who have no say in this. They won't know you were mad about one a day service, they'll think your attendant did a bad job.
  22. You'd be better off just telling the steward directly you'll tip him extra to come back in the evening to do turndown. Going over their head doesn't usually motivate people to do better work.
  23. So we aren't allowed to speculate on the board now? But even still, one attendants experience will not tell you how its going for all attendants fleet wide. Just like you saying you are cutting your tips doesn't mean that's what most people will do.
