  1. Just take them to any shop at your first port of call and buy something cheap. They'll be happy to break it for you. 🤣
  2. They have your signature on a piece of paper saying you wanted to use your voucher for that drink. The simple act of making you sign the paper when you wouldn't otherwise should be enough of a reminder that you are using a voucher. The piece of paper also tells you how many vouchers you have, so saves that question that probably gets asked 1,000 times a day.
  3. Considering a B2B on Oasis from Miami next Winter and had a question. If we do it, the first leg will just be me and the wife. The second leg, however, will be me, wife, our Daughter(16) and her friend. They'd be traveling with some relatives who will be on the second leg as well, so getting to the port is no issue. But how will getting them on the ship work? Will we need to disembark to get them on, or will we be able to do all of their paperwork on the ship and they just get their cards when the others check in and come on with them? If they weren't minors, I wouldn't think anything about it, but IDK if that would complicate the process.
  4. That's what we did on our last cruise. Moved all the kids to one table. They had a blast and the servers were great.
  5. Hell I had a January cruise out of New Orleans that had flurries that morning. lol
  6. If we don't get Meme of the Seas and Boaty McBoatface of the Seas, we riot!
  7. Yes, but it was many years ago. 2003 iirc. Big military truck near the fence with guys in the back with some sort of rifles. I guess I'm assuming on the machine gun part of there. I'm not sure they still do that though, but I'd assume they have them somewhere in the unlikely case of a local uprising.
  8. Kidnapping for ransom would be the more likely play. But the guys at the fence with the machine guns are certainly enough of a deterrent that they probably would never try it.
  9. Theres a Carnival Legend currently. I like Paragon of the Seas.
  10. Hijack, but have they announced any changes that Symphony will be getting in dry dock?
  11. No, but a lot of people are just saying things are sold out and don't know whats going on. If you have a specific date and category you just have to have, adding the third person might be worth it.
  12. Adding a third person to your booking increases your options. They've limited the 2 person rooms.
  13. It was booked. At 1:30 it was available to be booked. Not long after it was gone. For those seeing everything they are interested in being sold out, add a third person to your room and it opens a lot of categories back up for booking.
  14. I think the guy who was on here a few months ago who said he worked for royal and was dead set that the aquatheater was on the back of the ship has a new account.
  15. They aren't going to know either. January 27th will be the earliest sold for now. Sometime next summer when Meyer Turku has a completion date nailed down, then they will release potentially earlier cruises and the TA. But as of this moment, I guarantee that even Michael Bayley doesn't know which cruise will be the first revenue cruise.
  16. Well when the BBC, or some other major news outlet, or even some blogger, gets to go on the ship while its docked in Southhampton, and take pictures and videos and does a story on it, the people reading/watching that story are going to go "wow, that's a neat ship, we should book a cruise". They aren't going to know or care that the media person was on a docked ship with no passengers. They are just going to see a cool new cruise ship. That's why cruise lines do media events. So the media can be on there without the paying passengers getting in the way. One BBC story would sell more cabins than a whole ship full of paying passengers.
  17. If I know I'm going to be hanging out at a specific bar all week, I'll definitely tip heavy day 1. Sometimes you never see that bartender again, sometimes you have the same guy all week and you get better service. Maybe it means you don't have to wait for drinks, maybe it means they spend a little more time on your drink. Sometimes you get info that you wouldn't have access to otherwise. And sometimes they treat you like people who didn't tip extra. Either way I'll keep doing it. I believe in keeping your bartenders happy.

  19. I personally like the Holiday Inn by the Port as it's right across the street from Bayfront Park which has lots of restaurants and nightlife for the night before you leave.
  20. If theres more blocks, they aren't on site or are inside. The only other blocks that I believe we've seen are the port side aft blocks.
  21. The design similarities between that and Icon are almost too much to be coincidence. The rear cabins tapering back. Dome on the front. Open area across the center of the ship. The silhouettes are very similar.
  22. Possible. Wonder does have stops there. Symphony also has a stop in Antigua. A Coco cay, cruising, St Maarten, Antigua, DR, cruising, itinerary would be a pretty sure booking for me. But if its a coco, st thomas, st maarten itinerary, I'll probably just do the 8 day symphony to curacao.
