  1. My opinion: MSC pizza is top notch. Their food is good too. Very creative. Princess used to have great pizza. But the last few times it has been tasteless. Royal pizza is good if you stick to plain cheese. Carnival pizza is vile, just like all their food. To answer the OP, Royal does not have white pizza. Carnival does.
  2. Just go to the MTD dining room. They will accommodate you. That is their job.
  3. It is very cool and quite a navigational feat. Most people don't realize that the New Orleans is not on the ocean. It is 8 hours up the Mississippi River.
  4. Beef tenderloin and the lasagna are two of my favourites. Also any Indian food in the Windjammer.
  5. Fosters is advertised as an Australian beer. But strangely it is not popular in Australia. It is not even in the top 10 selling beers in Australia. It is not even brewed in Australia. Victoria Bitter is the top beer in Australia. Having said this, Fosters is pretty tasty beer, mate.
  6. We have a whole bag of OTC meds that we take on every cruise. Such as cough meds, allergy meds, pain meds, anti-diarrhea meds, meclizine, mole skin, all types of band aids, cortisone cream, antacids, neosporin, etc. Additionally we bring an extra week of our prescription medicine. It may seem a bit extreme to take all of this on vacation but there have been times when the need arose and we were glad to have them. Also we have helped other passengers who needed it.
  7. I hope there is a special place in hell for whoever invented this martini
  8. My #1 cruise tip: Make sure you get enough to eat. Lol Bon Voyage
  9. Yes they serve Thanksgiving dinner. However it is not from a whole roasted turkey like Grandma used to make. It is more like a turkey roll or turkey breast . It is mediocre at best. If you want the more traditional carved turkey you can get it at the Windjammer.
  10. I am with you on that. I love to explore the ports. I am not really partial to private island/private resort stops. I like to mingle with the locals. I like to see how they live, what they eat, what they are thinking. A cruise is obviously not total immersion into the culture, but it is a glimpse.
  11. Sounds awesome. Its the old school, classic cruise experience. Now if they just had a gala midnight buffet, it would be complete. Would love to be on board. Bon Voyage.
  12. Excellent response. Or course nothing is foolproof. It's all about the numbers. Less people boarding without covid equals less covid on board. It's amazing how some people cannot grasp the concept. Of course the test is a pain and no one wants to take it, but it is for the common good and in the long it benefits everyone. Some people don't want to comfort to anything. .
  13. Depending on where you are cruising, it is much cheaper in Port. Check around. I bought it in St. Martin for $55.00
  14. I think if you simply told the hostess at the entrance that you require assistance, they would get someone to help you. The staff is always very helpful. Good luck.
  15. Everything adds up when you have kids!
  16. As long as you are not driving the ship, I don't see what the problem is.
  17. Smoking, drinking, and gambling all go hand in hand. You cannot remove one from the equation. Non-smoking has been tried on cruise ships and in casinos. It always fails. The casino is the second largest source of Revenue for a cruise ship. They are not going to make them non-smoking anytime soon. I think that is a generation or two away.
  18. Same reason they wear shower caps and fuzzy slippers to the grocery store....style
