The Voyager is obviously not the Oasis. But the Voyager is still a great ship. I sailed the Voyager during her first year of cruising. I was blown away. An ice rink and ice show on a cruise ship? Who ever heard of that? A promenade? A rock climbing wall? Amazing. The Voyager was revolutionary! Before her all cruise ship were basically the same. A buffet, main dining room and an atrium. Voyager changed all that. If you started on the Oasis you are lucky, you have been spoiled. Nothing will match it until the next generation of cruise ship comes out. But you will still you will still be on a great ship with great amenities.

Please post your experience upon return. -
Just off the Explorer. The ice show was good. The comedian was meh. But the comedy juggler was terrific.

Diamonds International gives out free trinkets. I get them and give them to young girls at church. They seem to like them. -

Menus have stayed the same as far as I can tell. I would guess that most things have stayed the same. Sorry I couldn't be more specific

BOOTHS IN THE MTD DINING ROOM ON ENCHANTMENT?
joeyancho replied to jamscckmc's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I have never seen a booth on a Royal ship. Not a fan of booths for fine dining. Carnival has booths on at least some ships, as I recall. -

He was on the Explorer last week. Nice guy -
Just off the Explorer. French toast was thick. Didn't try it but it looked yummy.

Adrenaline Beach is nice. The water is shallow and warm, so good for the kiddies, however the bottom has some sharp rocks. Bring your water shoes.

When you get off the ship walk past the naked people and over the bridge to the parking lot. Lots of locals selling their wares. Also lots of wild animals (sloths , monkeys, birds) to get your picture taken with. There will be plenty of people with vehicles waiting to take you wherever you want to go. They will take you to the locks then around town for shopping, if you like. You get up close to the locks and watch their operation. Very fascinating. I remember everything was very cheap there. Their currency is the USD. It is an interesting place. The US was there for years running and guarding the canal. You will see where the soldiers lived, shopped, etc. Jimmy Carter is a big hero in Panama, lol.

I have severe hearing loss which is, for the most part, corrected by hearing aids. I noticed that during the pandemic I was having more problems than usual understanding conversational speech. I didn't realize how much I depended on lip reading in addition to the actual sound of a person speaking. Communication is more complex than we realize. For some people a simple thing such as a mask creates problems. All this being said I find that the crew is pretty good at communicating and understanding. Especially since English (a tough language to learn) is their second or third language.

That is because Americans have perfected the English language, LOL 😆. But seriously, I think you are right. My daughter ( an American ) lives in London for quite some time now. Folks understand her easily. I think this is because of the influence of American media ( i.e. movies, TV, internet content, music). However, depending on the regional accent, she, at times, has difficulty understanding some people, despite their speaking English.

The Indian food is off da hook. Especially if the Naan is fresh. Oasis has the best designed Windjammer.

Non-alcoholic sparkling wine and lounge drinks?

I have not had a drink of booze in 39 years. My "drink " of choice is a San Pelligrino with ice and lime and a couple squirts of bitters. Incredibly refreshing! Zero calories. -
How was your cruise experience post pandemic?
joeyancho replied to ARI421's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I think we have taken six cruises since it started up post pandemic. All were terrific except for Carnival. I should have known better not to set foot on a Carnival ship. Carnival is trash.
