  3. Going on Voyager at the end of the month and am wondering is there just 1 ice show, which has several performances or are there multiple ice shows?
  4. I am 25 days out and today got my cabin assignment.
  5. I used email to shareholders@carnival.com
  6. In July it took about 2 weeks for me. But I have heard anywhere from a couple of days to nearly a month.
  7. I like frozen drinks and last cruise I was looking for a dessert drink on day 2 for dinner as I did not like the dessert choices and the bar waiter recommended a mudslide. It is now one of my new favorites.
  8. I am on an Oct 30 cruise. so far the bar code trick is still showing GTY. Also my setsail pass with bar code did not show up until 30 days out.
  9. Only done the 7 day ones over Christmas and or New Years, the New Years one was a bit more party atmosphere than the Christmas one. There were more families at Christmas and more couples at New Years. But generally both cruises were pretty normal except for a few small extra's for the season, were the extras it worth the up-charge? Not for the extras but if that is the only time you have to travel (which was my case) it is the price you have to pay.
  10. on the Panorama in July you could only tour the gym but you could not use it on embarkation day.
  11. Heading out at the end of October on Voyager of the Seas boarding in Boston. Sailed this summer on Celebrity where you got on and could go to the cabin right away drop off your stuff and get your sea pass how does this work with RCL. Anything special or different or unique with embarking in Boston?
  12. the news release does say. Cruise measures are also being lifted, and travellers will no longer be required to have pre-board tests, be vaccinated, or use ArriveCAN. A set of guidelines will remain to protect passengers and crew, which will align with the approach used in the United States. So I would think that cruise lines will have one set of rules for North America. Europe will still vary I am sure.
  13. not sure on this one, usually status change is at the end of a cruise and not the beginning
  14. Here is the link from the government of Canada https://www.canada.ca/en/public-health/news/2022/09/government-of-canada-to-remove-covid-19-border-and-travel-measures-effective-october-1.html
  15. If you do it will be a cruise line requirement and not a Canada one. Check with your cruise line I am sure they will be updating the rules in the next few days.
  16. Just a note they may not phone you or even email you, I noticed my upgrade when I was checking my planner online.
  17. you don't need it to check in for set dining but to view the menu you need it as getting a paper copy is difficult.
  18. all the specialty coffees are included in the classic non alcohol as well. it was my teens favorite spot on the ship, the team their new them by name.
  19. We went from an interior porthole (kind of an oxymoron) to a balcony for $156 on the Panorama in July
  20. did 12 days in Europe when the kids where 10 & 12. They had spent 10 days in England visiting friends and family before the cruise and they had no issues with the cruise, they would happily exchanged a few days of friends and family time in England with cruising.
  21. got the cheers to you this week with RU0 code
  22. How needed is the app on board? sailing on the eclipse next week and was kind of hoping to totally unplug but if I need to use the app (like on some lines) to access whats going on or the menus it may not be possible. Just preparing mentally.
  23. on the panorama a couple of weeks ago it was 7 am to 8 pm
  24. Don't forget also there is the 5 min time limit between drinks
