I agree. Our daughter and husband are in their mid thirties and enjoy good food as do their friends. They typically go out to upscale ( and expensive) restaurants. We have encouraged them for years to go on a Celebrity cruise but would never do that now with the current menus.
Jim, I just four. This thread after wondering where you have been. A.ways enjoy your live reviews ( boarding the Summit next Sunday for NE/ Canada). We have many friends in our complex in FL from Sault Ste. Marie and it sounds like a charming town. Enjoy your cruise!
We have always looked forward to the duck ( I love the duck) and branzino which I noticed are not on our upcoming Summit cruise 😢.
looking forward to the rest of your review.
Enjoyed you review and glad to hear you enjoyed your cruise. We’re looking forward to our New England/Canada cruise on the Summit in Sept. By the way, where are you in Naples? We’re in north Naples, off Wiggins Pass Rd. Safe travel home.
Murano offers a goat cheese soufflé whereas the blue cheese soufflé was always in the MDR. So many of our favorite and interesting appetizers seem to no longer being offered.
Just so sad to hear. We’ve cruise about 25 times with Celebrity and always enjoyed the food. Raved about Celebrity and especially the foods to others. I’ve looked at the menus for our upcoming cruise on the Summit and very disappointed in the menu choices. Where are all the interesting appertizers? I can’t eat salads ( iDietary restrictions). Increased prices and lower quality food. May be exploring other options in the future.
We’re on the Summit this coming Sept and have booked the Ascent for next Sept. Would love to hear opinions from those with cruises coming up on other lines. Great information. ( Maybe between now and next Sept Celebrity will read some of the comments regarding cuts and change things). Thanks.
We’re heart sick seeing the photos of downtown Lahaina and the loss of lives. We were just there this past May on the Hawaiian cruise. Our daughter’s friend lives there and lost her home. Just so sad.
Never had a problem with the laundry. I do send anything that might shrink ( ie ladies pants or tops) to be dry cleaned if needed. A couple complimentary for us, the rest I find the prices comparable to at home..
Denny01- I had a good laughs this morning at your comment!
Thanks everyone for the information on Cinque Terre. We had planned on the train a few years ago but cruise was cancelled ( time of Covid). Planning in next fall. My husband has slight balance issues since back surgery last fall so probably will pass on the train next Sept. Looking at a tour with Italytours which transports directly to a few towns, minimal walking up and down hills.
Very much enjoying your review!
