    Yes we also flew in a day early and stayed at the Sofitel at T5. It was wonderful. And the next morning we just walked to meet our Princess transfer to the cruise port.

    I thought the age was 16 to be booked in their own cabin? I booked my 16 year old nieces in their own cabin several years ago on Princess. Don't know why you'd be having issues booking a 17 and 20 year old in their own.

    How warm was it in the Med ports? Would love to do a Med cruise next summer but don't do well in high heat anymore.

    Wow who could have predicted this for those passengers! I hope they get fair compensation from Princess. Imagine the ones who have nonrefundable shore excursions booked in the ports they will now miss. But if I were them I wouldn't want to sail until I knew the Ruby was safe to hit the ocean.

    Yes do not forget to bring some Bonine pills (mezciline works better than the medicine in Dramamine in our experience) and take one every night just in case. My poor daughter got extremely seasick on the December Hawaii cruise last year and wound up in the medical center as well. She had been taking Dramamine every night but it didn't help. That open Pacific Ocean route is no joke.

    I just noticed on the Princess everyday dinner entrees that they have steak on it again, and the classic Caesar salad. I tried their revamped kale/chickpea version last year and wasn't impressed. And steak as an everyday option was gone for quite awhile, glad to see it back.

    Yes this is looking at a summer 2024 cruise and for transfer options it says to/from LHR or LGW airports. I don't remember if it said VCS there when we used it a few years ago.

    No I'm not booked yet, and I always book my own. I have found that the 800 number or OL chat will just produce multiple different answers.

    Thank you! So it says non-transferable, that sucks. Guess we aren't doing that cruise then.

    I live in the Monterey area and unless Princess provides dock support the cruise ships can't come here anymore from what I'm hearing. They always tendered into the wharf. I hope Princess will do what is needed because it would be sad for people to miss Monterey and yes especially the aquarium. My daughter works there so I'm biased 🙂

    If they are going to require nonrefundable deposits now then I would hope they are transferable to another cruise if something happens in the next year and we had to change the cruise date. Does anyone know if the deposits would be transferable? No way I'm going to eat the money if life happens and we had to switch to a different cruise.

    I am now focusing on June 2024 Med cruises on the Sun and it is still showing as nonrefundable deposits no matter whether I choose Standard or Plus, with any cabin type, and whether I am logged in or not. I think Princess is trying to drive me crazy!

    Does Princess still offer their cruise transfer to Southampton from Victoria Coach Station? Looking at summer 2024 the transfer option says from LHR/LGW airport to and from ship but doesn't mention the Victoria Coach Station option that they had.

    Was your deposit refundable when you booked? They are now showing as nonrefundable.

    Thank you for doing this! Looking at doing the Med next summer so will be following along. Would appreciate any feedback on the Rome airport and flights, airline, etc. in addition to your Med ports. Bon voyage!

    I wonder why it's the Med cruise that's now showing as nonrefundable deposits? Both the Norway and Scandinavian Capitals cruises for summer 2024 are refundable deposits.

    It changed today (June 15th) because I was looking at them yesterday and they were refundable deposits as long as I chose Plus. Today it says nonrefundable deposits for that. I am looking at the 2024 May and June Med sailings on Sun.

    I'm not looking at guarantee cabins, these are regular select your own cabins.

    Wanted to try the Sun next summer but it says that deposits are nonrefundable. I tried under both Standard and Plus and with different cabin types.
