  1. I'm gonna have to drop a dime on you and phone a friend...............John Heald can you hear me now?
  2. Carnival only shows blocks of 10 rooms available so if you have a specific room in mind you will likely need to call.
  3. 5136 has no lifeboats below it, but due to the rooms to the right jutting out three balconies over there will be a slight cutoff of the view to the front of the ship.
  4. No problemo. Of course this is only information and not an endorsement per the rules here. I book on Carnival myself because it would be unfair to use a PVP and then take the booking away from them. I will use a PVP for shorter cruises sometimes because then I can leave the 2nd passenger as TBA. The club agency won't allow a TBA. I like to book two years out because now the prices only seem to be going one way............up!
  5. It is good at the big box that I transferred the cruise to. They also accept carnival gift cards for payment so I use the AARP ones every time for additional savings. I spend so much at the club the shop card is a good as cash to me 😉 .
  6. Yes, for the same exact rate as Carnival you get a shop card, which on the more expensive cruises can be substantial. My last 14 day to Hawaii from Long Beach was about 4 thousand and my shop card I got after the cruise was for $330 .
  7. Carnival isn't playing nice with their PVPs with regards to customers putting holds and then PVP not getting credit. I can go do my own booking on Carnival, and as long as it has not been 90 days since booking, my big box can take over the booking and get a commission for doing so even though they had zero to do with the initial sale.
  8. What if this is as good as it gets? -- Melvin Udall
  9. You have definitely whet my appetite for November! Such a visually stimulating ship, no shortage of things to look at!
  10. Great pics and it is a total bummer with Carnival switching to Cabo last and short changing the time there! I think you have talked me into the Puerto Vallarta excursion! Which do you like more, the Panorama or the Firenze? Going on Firenze in November.
  11. It was Feb 11th out of Miami to HMC, Grand Turk, Bonaire and Aruba. Of course we pulled up to HMC and it was a no go ;( . I am cursed for HMC with COVID cancellations and weather!
  12. Makes me want to climb up there and clean windows 🤣
  13. Carnival knows what they got and have started pricing them a bit more than regular interiors. I have mostly been booking journeys cruises now and they tend to be about $150 more. I find this reasonable for a 14 day cruise to have the light and the balcony layout.
  14. The rooms you want are between lifeboats and the ones with a peekaboo peek are 4114, 4115, 4122, 4123, 4132, 4133, 4140, 4141, 4148, 4149 and the 4 person rooms are 4194 and 4195. Same exact layout as a balcony. Same rooms on Spirit, Pride, Legend, and Miracle. My personal favorites are 4140 and 4148 because the front three lifeboats are bigger and slightly less of a view.
  15. I saw that in your review 😉 . I like that they are balcony layout and with natural light and a peekaboo peak to boot!
  16. I have been the beneficiary of an upgrade, probably just by chance. I had a cruise set for the Freedom 8 day in Feb last year and they switched ships to the Spirit. I had an inside room on the Freedom but at switch over they put me into a regular balcony room with no notice at all. It was a nice surprise. I am guessing the Freedom has more interior rooms than the Spirit so I randomly got put into a balcony. I used to be a balcony person but am now happy with the 4K on the Spirit class with the tall window and between lifeboats.
  17. I will stick with the Long Island which has a 1/2 ounce of the 5 clears vodka, gin, rum, triple sec, and takillya!
  18. We may have to apply a NC-17 rating to cruise critic now 🤣
  19. Big Spirit class fan here, so I guess that qualifies as colorful and wacky ;).
  20. Always a chance but Carnival is big on saying they are trying to help the environment now plus the added labor and cost of maintaining the tables with cloth. I don't care either way myself, but I do like them for sure.
  21. A dime to a bag of donuts the table cloth is gone after the upcoming dry dock next end of January. I do like them though!
