Why not just leave it at home and then you don't have the worry of having any issues. Seems like an easy solution to me.

Pies were great, finished the last one a couple days ago. Have not attempted apple sauce yet............We did however just have an apple peeler come in the mail my Wife bought, cores and peels them. Also gave a lot of the apples away to the neighbors.

Had a late lunch at Sharkey's in Radford, Va. , It's near Radford University. Lots of College Kids hang out there watching Football Games and Drinking. We both had Ribs and Wings with different sauces on each. They have lots of TV's on all the walls around the place. One screen is 12 ft from corner to corner diagonally.

My Wife calls that Yum Yum sauce candy, says they should serve it over ice cream since it is pure sugar. 🤣

Apple Pie Bake off results are in. We have a TIE, the filling in my Wife's Apple Crumb Pie is much better(sweeter) then mine BUT my Pie Crust is the BEST we have ever had.
