  1. We did a cruise there many years ago...............Try this tour company in Oahu if you ever go there. We went and saw everything ! https://losttourshawaii.com/ "Kos Tours" We did the "Circle the Island Tour: In Oahu in a Hummer. One the best tours around any island we have ever done. We saw Pearl Harbor, Dole Pineapple Farm and Coffee Farm on that cruise also. This was on a Roundtrip cruise from San Diego This was on a 15 night cruise on Radiance that turned into almost 16 days because of a medical emergency and had to turn back around and head back to Hawaii to let the sick passenger off, talk about messing up everyone return flights home from San Diego , It was a mess but Royal allowed free phone calls for everyone on the ship to make new arrangements. Because of New flight we can now say we gambled in Las Vegas.........In the Airport ! 😲 It's not something you can say about every airport in the US is it?
  2. Always confused by your Wife's name, just how do you say it. Looks like Michelin the tire company..........I know that must not be how you say it is it? Is it spoken like Michelle? Is it French? Cool name.
  3. Be glad you are not in Miami today, it's been raining all day, Watching the Phillies Game against the Marlins now and you can hear the thunder on the telecast outside the stadium which has a covering. Super Loud!
  4. That has to be the longest post on this thread that I have every read 🙂 .............Lot's of cliff hangers there to have us to keep wanting more !! I'm not sure I'm wanting to walk between 2 buildings on an unmarked sidewalk entrance in Miami........ Might be missing that cruise is all I'm going to say about that. Sounds like a Movie........and a set up !😲
  5. Please report back after Allure next month, I for one would be interested how you compare both products currently. Some members on here are not as open minded though because they are Loyal To Royal no matter what.
  6. Just reading from the comments on this thread and other threads on this cruise forum, others haven't been as lucky as you have been on your 8 cruises I guess. I'm not trying to slam anyone, I rather read from everyone that has been on a cruise that everything is great and back to normal as it was years ago. But it isn't right now that way for everyone. If you are still having a good time and like the product the way it currently is, by all means continue to cruise all you want. You have an opinion like everyone else has one, all opinions don't have to be the same, that is why they call them opinions. It's okay to have different opinions on a subject. Just because someone has a different opinion, you don't have to call it slamming. I really am happy you had 8 great cruises that you are extremely happy with. When we cruise again I hope we have the great experience you have had. Many others in this cruise forum hope for the same.
  7. Some members on here can't handle reality, your post was well said and very factual.
  8. That's part of the "Wow" factor in cruising though. Can get the Ocean feel at any land based island vacation. I liked it better when you used to cruise and get the whole experience. Don't like now where we might have to concede certain things that are lacking now. Just doesn't make cruising as attractive as it used to be without getting the whole package. 😞
  9. Have read there are 2 lines but both are long either way you look at it. Be prepared. Thanks for the honest review, you have been on enough cruises to know. Any thoughts of just not cruising anymore until things get straighten out? Saw you laughing reaction to my post above about Grandeur, not really sure that was needed. @John&LaLa it's not me saying things have declined, just sounds more and more like the "New Norm" When you go on your World Cruise I guess you might see it for yourself after 270 days..........Hopefully things will be "ALOT" better by then for you. Keep the drinks flowing maybe won't even notice the food. 🤣 Hopefully restrictions don't carry over to the alcohol each ship is carrying onboard. It's just so sad to hear how some things are declining on cruises. It's just not Royal either, Have read a lot of the same issues on other lines.
  10. Seems about 3/4 of reviews on CC are sub par. Lets hope things pick up sooner then later when things can get back to normal. Hate to think this is the "New Norm".
  11. Just remember when you put the pasta in it will suck up some of the extra liquid. We thought it was to much liquid when we were making it but by following the directions it came out just right. Hardly tasted the teaspoon tabasco, I would double that up next time doing the recipe.
  12. Carry Off no problem, waiting for luggage could become a issue if lost or if ship is delayed for some reason or another. Can you carry off?
  13. Have never pickled them, we do however freeze some in vacuum sealed plastic bags for use later in the winter and spring.
  14. Very easy to grow, never have had a failed crop in all the years I have planted them. Zucchini are always the first thing to be harvested in my garden followed by Banana Peppers and the Banana Peppers are the last thing to be harvest right up to the first frost. If you can cover them when you know frost is coming you can easily extend the growing season for them too. You don't need to plant a lot of them either because you will get a lot even from 5 or 6 plants. Half a dozen plants are plenty to plant.
  15. Bell Peppers for me is for stuffing ground beef in them, stir fry's and salads. Banana Peppers, mostly like them in Scrambled Eggs and Potatoes, or in an Omelet with Vidalia Onions and Mozzarella
  16. We had 4 bowls, plus froze two 1 qt containers, plus another 1 qt. went into the fridge to have tonight. So I would say the recipe makes little over 4 qts in total. Having a bowl right now, earlier made Chicken Caesar Salad so a little hungry right now. 🙂
  17. Sure, would suggest though in less you have a very Large Crock Pot, cut this recipe in half. It makes a lot, we had to transfer it to a large pot on the stove before putting in the the 20oz spaghetti sauce jar. Also we read before putting pasta in to cook it first before to about 1/2 done then put it in the pot about 30 minutes before you want to eat it. Pasta Fagioli in the Crockpot 2 lbs ground beef 1 onion, chopped 3 carrots, chopped 4 stalks celery, chopped 2 (28 ounce) cans diced tomatoes, undrained 1 (16 ounce) can red kidney beans, drained 1 (16 ounce) can white kidney beans, drained 3 (10 ounce) cans beef stock 3 teaspoons oregano 2 teaspoons pepper 5 teaspoons parsley 1 teaspoon Tabasco sauce (optional) 1 (20 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce 8 ounces pasta Directions: Brown beef in a skillet. Drain fat from beef and add to crock pot with everything except pasta. Cook on low 7-8 hours or high 4-5 hours. Add pasta the last 30 minutes. Serve with a nice crisp green salad and some garlic bread! Enjoy
