Yes, it's nice to still have memories to remind us of my parents. It was really tough about 2 and half years just before Covid lost my Mom, my Dad about about 9 months before that. Also lost my Father-in-law between when my Dad and Mom passed. It was a lot to handle in such a short time. My Dad loved gardening too, I think that is where I got my green thumb from. 🙂

Beautiful area you are in, if we down size we are now looking at the Southport, NC area..........Been there once for a week this past Spring and we are going for another week to check out the area again in Early December. Will have to check out those Apple Cake recipe's too. We did find my Mom's recipe for her Apple Cake. My niece actually got all her recipe's that were on index cards. Here are pictures of the recipe. Hope it's as good for you as I remember it.

My Mother used to also have one of those Foley Food Mill's, I never knew the name of it though.....Used to love just spinning the handle around making that neat sound. Right now the plans are to make a few apple pies, my wife also read somewhere , where she can just make the apple filling and freeze for later use for making more pies. Also going to give some of the apples to our next door neighbor that says she makes good apple sauce with the apples from this tree. I would also like to find a recipe for a good apple cake, my Mom used to make a good apple cake too, have to see if one of my Sister's still has that recipe somewhere. I may have asked you before but just where do you live in Virginia? Was it near Williamsburg? toward the shoreline?

Guess this proves this was a computer generated move.........a real person isn't going in and moving reservations like this.......You would think they would still have a human check the changes before releasing them to their customers. Maybe I'm just expecting to much. Other fish in the sea.................

@Tree_skier Dave you could also bring a hotdog as a straw with you.

All I'm asking has the policy changed where you can book a nonrefundable rate............and if you have to change the ship and sail date can you still pay the $100 fee per person to move to another ship and sailing date. NOT ASKING about CWC..........I know CWC ended.......but that wasn't my question. Has what I wrote above in this post changed?

Jimbo replied to ileys's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Even when stating in a post I said I had no opinion...I still got bashed..members on here couldn't wait to quote me...Just couldn't read it and move on. -
Do I really need to cruise recently, to have used a paper straw before.
-
Wear one of these hats the whole cruise and then you have a straw on the ready the entire cruise. Problem solved. https://www.instructables.com/How-to-Make-a-Straw-Hat/

Sounds like a Third World Problem. Ask for OBC if you get paper straws. 🤣

Can't you just drink out of the glass. Can't believe we have a question on this board about straws? Use what they give you, if it doesn't work drink out of the glass. Problem solved.

Doesn't matter to me one way or the other, I'm not cruising anytime soon. Cruise Lines can do anything they want. -

No opinion, on grounds I may be hammered. We all will just have to sit back and wait for the outcome. Giving an opinion means exactly nothing.
