  1. I think we got confused here...I meant the Broadway pier as the further away pier. The B Street pier is definitely open and being used.
  2. I would say as you are at sea enroute to PV on the 8th,,you will certainly be in position to see some of it...
  3. And HAL has two ships much of the summer. One is a small ship that can get to Montreal.
  4. Yes, motion MIGHT be noticeable there, particularly if it is rough on the sea day sailing out of Seattle, or back into Victoria. Or it might not be.
  5. Curious where you got the 20% figure. Profit margins vary considerably across various types of items.
  6. I didn't do a survey. People danced to most all of the music, in my observation...different people to different styles. Every cruise will be different demographics. In BBK, the pay list also driven by the talent skill set. It might be more of one genre or another on a given cruise, depending on the skill set.
  7. I would choose Boston, but be aware the facility is not exactly user friendly.
  8. The BB King is a mixture of blues, Motown, rock and a couple other genres. The Rolling Stone Lounge is rock, but the style varies by the talent they have. On a recent B2B cruise, they went from mostly medium 70s rock (think Eagles, BTO, Stones, etc)to a bit more metal (think AC/DC and similar) when a new lead singer was added at the turnaround port. On our cruises, there was a lot of dancing in both RR and BBK venues.
  9. You can go to the Retreat most nights after closing. No, there won't be any service, but you can still go there. Cleaning might be happening. Occasionally a cocktail party or a dinner is held there for invited guests (not specifically for cabana users).
  10. Sounds like the best and most appropriate decision.
  11. This isn't purgatory, its the relevant board for the topic. If you did a search, you would see it has been talked about frequently here, although not recently. Another hotel to see the ships come in, and you can see them several miles out in the channel, is the Embassy Suites. However, only on the east side of the hotel, and higher floors.
  12. At this point I would be doing the math very thoroughly...how much am I saving by this complicated effort? Money, time and effort saved by not flying home from Vancouver?
  13. Not quite that simple if you are docked at the B Street Terminal. The OP would have to walk past the other two docks before getting to the restaurant buildings. Sounds like mobility is an issue.
  14. It's impossible for you to know if the ship is full. At 22 days out, GTY assignments haven't been made public yet. That being said, you will never know unless you ask. However, a common philosophy pre Covid was if you ask, you will get rack rate. If they ask you, you have a better chance at a deal.
  15. A quick look at Google Maps shows it to be 2-6 blocks, depending on which dock you are at.
  16. Just look down the board...they aren't hard to find. Check the HAL website for Covid requirements, which are very few now.
  17. Total Wine off 17th is discussed here frequently. You can order for pick up as you drive buy.
  18. @Colorado Klutch, satellite location is also a factor. I suspect the constantly increasing number of Starlink satellites will factor into this.
  19. Starlink is the satellite system being used. Spotty coverage on the ship is WiFi, not Starlink. Dropped signal can be either.
