  1. Just flew them both SFO-YYZ, and from YYZ on to CPH. Food both domestic and international was better than most US airlines. Service was very good. Lie flat seats are comfortable...as good as most US airlines. Only problem was from YYZ to CPH my inflight entertainment system was dead, for which I received compensation. DW's was fine. Otherwise their Business class product is pretty good.
  2. Hmmm...seems high. We park at SFO for $13-15 per day....that is about average for the off site parking. Surprised they are charging $25/day.
  3. If you look on the West Coast Departures board, there are lots of discussions on parking.

    Whales!

Change your plans from what, to what? The whale watch vendors don't usually start their specific whale watch cruises until early December. However, many of them do snorkel trips and you might see some whales while on those trips. The whales have been coming earlier and earlier. However, it is not in large numbers, so yes, your chances of seeing whales the next few weeks are definitely slimmer than in the December through March normal season. The numbers of whales in the area in the "season" is probably in the thousands, and the vendors do truly guarantee sightings. We have whale watched in season about 20 times...never went without seeing whales. Nowhere near those numbers now. Maui is the better area for whale watching, off Lahaina, or out of Ma'alaea Harbor, which is the closer area to where POA docks. Kona isn't bad, but its usually rougher there, and not as many whales as Lahaina area.
  5. How about a tablet? Smaller...can handle much of what you might need to do. We have traveled around the world with tablets for many, many years now.
  6. Check your map. In Ft Lauderdale, the airport is west and slightly south of the cruise terminals area.
  7. Come over to the P&O board, here: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/332-pampo-cruises-australia/
  8. Only you can decide that. From a veranda to a Neptune is more than double the space. Plus laundry, Neptune Lounge, and a number of other things. We would also need to know what the cost to upgrade is.
  9. Was announced here several days ago. People started booking on Wednesday. My TA is working on a booking right now.
  10. The lack of cars is probably due to Hurricane Ian. Lots of people suddenly need cars, plus FEMA and other responders flying in need cars. I have seen this sort of car problem in other major emergency situations, but usually the car agencies can move more cars into the area for specific clients, like the federal government. However, the car agencies don't have the excess in their fleets like they used to prior to Covid. I agree with the suggestion to use Uber/Lyft.
  11. The link @ColeThornton provided works fine for me. It is the specific board for Oceania cruise line.
  12. 🤪🤪Posted the same picture from NS in July.
  13. As to Terminals, it takes research. Assuming you are flying United from ABQ to DEN, then AirCanada from then on. In Denver, I believe you will be switching terminals. Toronto, most likely no terminal change. Not sure who you are flying home, so can't predict that. Going to Athens, you won't see your bags until Athens, if flying United and AirCanada. Flying home, you will need to claim your luggage to go through Customs at JFK. You will be "In transit" at Toronto, so you will do a passport check when you get off the plane. Just did it in Toronto in July...you do it on a kiosk, get a receipt, and you are allowed into the "In Transit" area. You will do Immigration/Passport Check (can take time) and Customs in Athens. Customs in most of Europe is the Red/Green system. After claiming your luggage, if you have something to declare, you go into the red line, if not, you go into the green line, and exit the Customs area. Usually very fast. Coming home, you will have an extra Passport and security check at Athens. Then, at JFK, you will do Immigration, then claim your luggage, and go through Customs. After Customs, you will need to recheck your bags. How that happens will depend on how your ticket is done...same airline or not.
  14. I am pretty sure you will need to take their tram from the side of the ship to the front gate of the port...they don't want you walking in the port, as it is a working port. It was a pretty busy port when we were there in March. Beyond that, I don't know.
  15. What you describe sounds more like you tendered into Kona, as there used to be an Enterprise operation a short distance from where you come ashore at Kona.
  16. If you are talking the mega ships, (like Oasis), they are typically the first to dock, and start disembarking about 6:30. All due to their size and pax load.
  17. A quick look at Google Maps shows it as about a 1.5 mile walk.
  18. It absolutely doesn't matter. You aren't locked in your room...you are out and about. There are views from all over the ship. In places like Glacier Bay, you sail in, then sail out, seeing both sides. Surprised you haven't seen the MANY comments that it doesn't matter.
  19. Haven't heard, but you need to be prepared to mask up.
  20. HAL doesn't use a service. None of the proctored services are free, at least that I have heard of. A search around Cruise Critic finds MANY threads regarding Covid test proctoring services, here was one I found quickly:
  21. Agree...getting signed up for Global Entry would be wise. Also agree, knowing Immigration vs Customs is important. Immigration (without Global Entry) can take considerable time. Customs usually takes much less. With Global Entry, both Immigration and Customs takes very little time.
