  1. Thanks...already booked at the DoubleTree Centraal.
  2. Ships can dock with either side to the dock,,depending on the needs of the ship that day. There is no "always" rule on docking.
  3. I would definitely fly in the day before. Nobody can answer your questions about driving over flying. Generally, I would say things are improved over the summer period, as now airlines are better in alignment with staff availability versus scheduled flights. You are flying in the dead of winter...delays and cancelations are ALWAYS possible, and it doesn't have to be bad weather near you...planes get hung up elsewhere due to weather, and can't get to CLT to pick you up. Fact of life...it happens.
  4. Beer buckets are available. Don't know if you can substitute something else.
  5. The Behind the Scenes tour we did before Covid was only 12 people, and was excellent. Remember, pre-Covid, anyone could, and did tour the Galley, usually on the first sea day at 10am. Far more people went through the galley on those tours than ever on "Behind the Scenes" tours.
  6. Can't recall any Terminal where separation by Mariner status has taken place outside the Terminal building. Always inside...
  7. @pickle11, you may not be aware @Heidi13 was an officer (perhaps a Captain?) on cruise ships for a number of years.
  8. They wouldn't sell a cruise that didn't have a reasonable chance of selling out. Just looked a few minutes ago at a HAL cruise on the same route, at the same time...the suites are sold out. There are a good number of people who will swear by booking last minute...so it does work. But does it work every cruise? I doubt it. Are you picky about cabin category or location? You may not get your choice. You will have a chance of a good deal, but I am not sure I would bet on it.
  9. I would be asking on the NCL board, as this really doesn't have anything to do with the Panama Canal. https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/64-norwegian-cruise-line/
  10. WiFi and drinks not included, except at the welcome aboard cocktail party. From the HAL website: https://www.hollandamerica.com/en_US/suites-staterooms.html
  11. Either HAL or Princess, because they have Glacier Bay. Plus the Princess cruise has College Fjord in addition to Glacier Bay.
  12. Most the ships are heading out of the Caribbean in May, unless they are among the few that live there all year. Agree on the Med...I just rarely think of cruising the Med then.
  13. You can use OBC to pay for any charges against your room, except casino.
  14. As @LHT28, for the Caribbean, its November, and up to mid December. Other places have dramatically different seasons. Alaska, early May or October, for example. Europe, same.
  15. Yes, if you qualify as "Priority" .
  16. Just a half a dozen threads down the board. Side doesn't matter at all, although some prefer aft:
  17. I was asked to review all the excursions on our NS cruise this July/August, and did review them. But not sure where the reviews go and can be viewed.
  18. Yes, based on our experience, and many others have reported the same here.
  19. Check your previous posts where you ask about Club Orange.
  20. Third time in 3 days? People have given you links to info on your previous posts...
