  1. You need to check on the board for the cruise line involved. Carnival is known for making as few clock changes as possible. Other cruise lines tend to use local time all of the time, or almost all of the time.
  2. Its not a hotel have ever seen mentioned here. I would be checking TripAdvisor.
  3. This is discussed extensively on the Ports boards. Shore Excursions Group is a broker, not a tour provider. That means they usually get you good prices, but then they take your money and contract with a low bid local provider. Many tours will go off without a hitch, but when there is a problem, then there is frequently compounded problems communicating with any one. Viator is another frequently mentioned tour broker. The strong recommendation from many of us who travel in Europe a fair amount is deal direct with a recommended local provider, not a tour broker.
  4. I also agree with the above to contact NCL. And get the info/approval/whatever, IN WRITING!
  5. As commonly recommended here, check www.sunny.org for a list of all Ft Lauderdale hotels, with their amenities, like parking and shuttles.
  6. Early check in is always a factor of room availability. They aren't going to leave a room empty the previous night just so you can check in early, particularly given the staffing shortages. That being said, airport hotels are much more accommodating of early check in, as people arrive at all hours.
  7. Or fly shorter distances to your cruises. Of course, by flying from PA to Australia, the poster is flying half way around the world. Wonder what the poster thinks that should cost.
  8. There is a lot out front, or at the curb at the street. Depending where they are coming from and how they approach , there may be other solutions.
  9. The SLCCs (Super Low Cost Carriers, like Ryanair) list a super low initial price. But then there are all the add ons with fees...like baggage, seat choice, air to breathe (just kidding). So the comment means to figure out the fees you are going to add on, and see if your fare is really cheaper than other carriers.
  10. Which port, Long Beach or San Pedro? No hotel provides a shuttle...its 30-45 minutes, or more with traffic, and depending which port you are actually referring to. There are many threads here on hotels at both port areas.
  11. Have you Google searched Zaandam cabin J1877? Looked at HalFacts.com?
  12. You know they have 2 newer ships, N. Statendam and Rotterdam. Twins of Koningsdam?
  13. The number of whales present will fall off rapidly after April 1. I wouldn't book a whale watch trip after then solely for whales. You could easily be disappointed. It is commonly discussed here that the best place for whale watching in the Mexican Rivera is Cabo, so if are going to try, that would be the place.
  14. It might be important to state MANY, MANY countries have cobblestone streets or sideways. Including the US.
  15. There are dozens of threads here on hotels. You could do the rail options...its discussed here with some regularity. But I think a shuttle would be the easier and pretty reasonably priced option.
  16. GE won't have your new passport number. You will need to tell them via the process described.
  17. That is what happened on our 3 cruises in 2022.
  18. The policy varies by cruise line, and may generate a fee, but yes, you can change a person on a reservation a reasonable time in advance. Don't try it the last couple days before sailing.
  19. Not true. You can request two services per day, and they will honor your request.
