  1. Huge thread just down the board for Rome in Limo, a wonderful company.
  2. If you look around the board, these items are discussed almost daily. Yes, you can DIY all of the ports. I think the only port with Hop on Hop off shuttles is Honolulu. Getting to Pearl Harbor is discussed frequently. You can taxi, Uber or take Public transit.
  3. Oh boy....I can see where this thread is going to go...
  4. Yes, you will go through Canadian Immigration AND Customs when you return to Canada at Vancouver.
  5. No discount on any of those items purchased in advance, EXCEPT the Premium WiFi package.
  6. Best place to ask is the Holland America board, here: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/103-holland-america-line/ I have worn Hawaiian shirts on HAL.
  7. You can monitor prices of similar flights before the actual flights you are looking for are made available. Thus you can get an idea exactly how the airline operates it's fare offerings. It used to be the best fares were at initial time of release, but now its much more common for fares at date of release to be high, then drop at some point after release...10 days, 2 weeks, 30 days, 60 days. Every airline is different. If the OP is specifically looking at United for their IAD-BCN non-stop, the lowest fares will start 15-30 days after initial release. But if you don't do your research, you won't know when that is. And there isn't some magical date, each and every time. Again, you have do research, and monitor regularly. There are some programs/websites out there that can monitor for you. This is critically important if you are doing award seats.
  8. Air to Sea is a cruise line air program? Whose?
  9. Because, at least in the US, Customs has dropped to almost no importance.
  10. We had a great time on Holland America last summer. I would focus on Iceland and Greenland. Other countries are nice, but Iceland and Greenland deserve the primary focus.
  11. There is a Hilton that is actually right in the airport. Nice hotel, very easy to use for the airport.
  12. Just picking some random dates, United has a non-stop. You should always be managing expectations. Sometimes people base what they expect an airfare to be on numbers that aren't relevant. If you are talking about flying this coming July, those flights have been out for at least 4 months...the cheapest fare buckets are probably already used up.
  13. That is a flaw in one or two of the ports boards. A few years ago it had 2 HAL ships there on one day, and listed them each twice. People thought that meant there were FOUR ships there one day. Panic ensued.
  14. Ask on the RCI board, here: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/51-royal-caribbean-international/
  15. Yes, with luggage and everything. But crew will help. And given they use the larger, local boats, not too challenging.
  16. I would be looking at TripAdvisor.
  17. Can you book it on line through the RCI website? Can you even see it on the RCI website? If so, it's not chartered. There might, however, be a group on board. Agree...asking on the RCI board would be better.
  18. Princess will be charging more than you can get them for. Perhaps MUCH more. I would definitely be booking independently...potentially at other hotels.
  19. If you ask this on the HAL board, here: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/103-holland-america-line/ You are likely to find people who have experience with the situation.
  20. If you look at Google Maps, ships dock at the Passenger Terminal, pretty much right in the middle of town.
  21. Totally agree. Check on the RCI board for their check in policy and procedures in Civi.
  22. Yep...all in the same small harbor. Worse case maybe 2 blocks, probably much less.
