  1. I do not think they have them on board, you can order them. These are the ones Celebrity sell. But you might find different ones in Finland. PRE-CRUISE Test Kit Resources for U.S. and UK Guests Self-tests are now readily available in most drugstores and pharmacies. Celebrity Cruises has also worked with its trusted vendors to make options for procuring supervised test kits available to you. We strongly recommend ordering test kits at least 7 days in advance of your sailing. These tests feature a certified guide who walks you through the testing steps. 2. The video test is not done at any location. You buy the test kit, Celebrity also sell them, and them you connect to the company from any location - from home, your hotel room etc. Then you do the test while they watch you do it on video. In case of a negative test they send you a certificate by email and that´s it.
  3. as long as you have wifi, the video testing also works just fine in Europe. It is just more expensive. In our case, since testing is widely available for low cost literally just around the corner, we don’t see the need to pay more. We will do it at a pharmacy.
  4. It‘s really not a big problem… we will be sailing Oct 5 and we will be in Tuscany for a few days before sailing. Most pharmacies in Italy do testing. So we will stop at one to do the test… that’s it.
  5. I don’t know what you are getting at but on first glance this reflects the Celebrity guidelines for all sailings including Greek ports after September 5th. PLEASE NOTE: For all sailings visiting Greece, self-tests will not be accepted. Guests who are required to test must complete a supervised COVID-19 test from either an antigen test result taken within 2 days prior to boarding or a negative PCR test result taken within 3 days prior to boarding. The test must be supervised by a health professional, such as a doctor, pharmacy technician, public health worker, or telehealth representative. We are pleased to make supervised test kits available for order pre-cruise below. Fully-Vaccinated** Guests and Unvaccinated Guests may be subject to additional mid-cruise testing.
  6. On most cruises 21 day were always the norm. Notification of acceptance a few days before the cruise. So tbh no reason to call and block another line with customer service 🤷🏻 The new part: Loyalty level makes a difference in a factor they internally add to your bid. The higher you are, the better your chance that a lower bid might be accepted.
  7. You might want to use Celebrity´s website. No such designation by Celebrity. 🤷🏻 https://www.celebritycruises.com/cruise-ships/celebrity-equinox
  8. You are confusing me 🙂 I guess you are talking Equinox - then it would be Deluxe Veranda. For all I know Deluxe Ocean View with Veranda is a category on E-Class. Those are the terrible Porthole Verandas. Aqua Class A2 staterooms forward are under quiet areas like the spa. We never really had problems with movement there. S class is pretty stable. But I guess it depends how sensitive one is.
  9. And it’s not really a problem either…
  10. STAY HOME! You would be a health risk to others who might not get away with "just a cold"!
  11. These are the requirements for sailings from the US https://www.celebritycruises.com/healthy-at-sea/us-travel-requirements Starting August 8th the requirements are changed. https://www.celebritycruises.com/healthy-at-sea/updated-us-travel-requirements
  12. Yes, embarkation day is not counted. So it can be any time on the two calendar days before.
  13. It is beautiful! No pass on E class ships for Elite and above.
  14. this is specific to Santorin. There’s one small port with a road accessible for tour buses. So the ship stops there first. Shore excursions get off. The ship continues to the standard anchor spot and tenders the other passengers. This is how you get to the base station of the cable cars. Depending of the number of ships it can be a wait.
  15. Sometimes, when the ship is fully booked, they use tickets. Elite members get priority tickets and priority even without tickes. Edge class has fantastic new "launches". Very comfortable and smooth. On Santorini the tender port for ship tours is a different one then for individual passengers/tours. Usually the ship stops there first, people and then continues to the stop for regular tenders.
  16. Just curious: An aft suite or a Sunset Veranda? SVs are not a suite! Personally I prefer Aqua over SV any day. On S class IMHO A2s are better than A1s.
  17. Short?! The distance to the train station in Ravenna is around 30 minutes.
  18. They have Chai Latte - a very good one, too.
  19. I did post on FB while we went along. I have to admit that I didn´t do it on CC - mainly because uploading pictures here while on board is really no fun. Maybe I will take the time to do it now, post cruise. After all I will be stuck at home this week :-)
  20. First: Thank you! Second: on the contrary, all who know me also know that I value an exchange of different opinions. IF and WHEN conducted based on facts and common sense. And yes, I fully admit that I have a low tolerance for statements like “free cruise my a….” calling isolating “imprisonment” and all this entitlement. We all know the policies. If one takes a cruise one takes the risk of being infected. There is no social distancing on board, masks are only worn by a minority of passengers. If one gets infected he or she will be isolated in a stateroom which is available on the decks reserved for isolation. That can be a balcony an Oceanview or even an inside. That’s what we accept when going on a cruise. Food taking too long, food not being hot… please!!! Nobody would bring me food if I had to isolate at home. Which btw I have to do now. Came down with a cold and tested positive today. I took the risk, it happened - no complaints from my side 🤷🏻‍♂️
