  1. Just an example of internet cost on board (Symphony ots, second day of 7 day cruise) Unless you have C&A discount (preferably D+) it’s better to buy before in most even if price is $23.99 per day.
  2. We are on Symphony. Quality of food and choices are very good. First buffet in Windjammer included so much seafood 1. Lobster tails 2. Crabs 3. Various types of clams 4. Limes stuffed with salmon 5. Lemons stuffed with tuna 6. Shrimp 7. Paella with seafood. 8. Octopus Food in MDR is also of very good quality.
  3. On Anthem we had amazing Iconic Band, but I think pool band was different. We love Bolero’s setup on Quantum class.
  4. We adjusted... 1 time on Anthem was tough 🙂 Remaining 10 was great!
  5. And 1. absence of the roof over family pool is a step down 2. just like an absence of open dining area behind Windjammer 3. absence of Virtual TV in most inside rooms We LOVED Anthem (11 times) and will see how Odyssey will work out out of New Jersey from November till April
  6. I believe it works, but later at night. 9 pm or so.
  7. Yes. We sail once per year (lately in March) from Baltimore. 12 dayers… to Southern Caribbean (next year we will do 8 dayer for Thanksgiving as they have new itin with Charlestown, Bimini, Miami). Wonderful cruises except for 2023 which was amazing except for bad Noro. This year was eventful with bridge accident ….
  8. We did 11 dayer on Anthem from in January to St Thomas, St Maarten, Antigua, St Kitts, Puerto Plata. (There are 12 dayers with 6 ports) . Similar on Vision from Baltimore in March, 5 ports with St Lucia & Barbados among them. In Agust-September we usually do 9 dayers New England/Canada on Liberty or similar. Also we do 1-2 7-8 dayer to Bahamas on Oasis/Quantum class We did 5 dayer to Bermuda on Liberty. It was lovely!
  9. This is why we love cruising from Bayonne… Only some cruises are 5 dayers .. Majority is 7-12 days
  10. Can you change a table if you don’t like assigned one? We usually arrive ask for a table by the window or at least away from serving station. If we don’t like offered we ask to change it.
  11. What we noticed is that same dishes are different on different ships. Not really surprised, but just keep in mind that next time the same dish can be better (or worse) 🙂 Overall I think new menus are working.
  12. We are D+ so we have 2 days each, so we buy on board 1 device package and share it. We do 2 free days for me and then use husband's 2 days discount for remaining days. At 17.99 we are still better off doing so (buying on board) even on 12 days cruise. We compared totals on board and pre-cruise. If we did not have 4 free days (or rather discount equal to 4 free days) we would use pre-cruise sale as it is clearly cheaper than buying on board. Usually per day it is $27-29, and if you buy for whole cruise on board it will go down per day, but not lower than $23.99 I think. I always need internet... even though in ports T-Mobile gives me free data + text, but I need to have it at night too. If you only need internet on seadays then maybe it makes sense to buy separate days and total will be lower depending on the cruise length. It's all Math. 🙂
  13. Wow! We were on one of the first cruises after restart from US! Have a nice restart!
  14. Our cruises with Royal are usually Two 11 or 12 dayers to Southern Caribbean on Quantum/Vision classes in January/March One 5 dayer Bermuda on Freedom/Voyager class or 7 dayer to Bahamas in May/June on Oasis class One 9 dayer to NE/Canada in September on Freedon/Voyager class One 7-8 dayer to Bahamas for Thanksgiving on Quantum class Plenty of longer cruises. We avoid large number of children by sailing during school time or longer cruises, or using adult solariums. No short cruises for us.
  15. We won't try to entice you... we want prices to come down, not up. We personally switched to RCI completely after Covid pandemic and 1 cruise with Celebrity (Edge) which we loved. So now 31 cruise are with other 7 lines and 31 with RCI. RCI works very well for our 5 cruises from Northeast (4 NJ and 1 Baltimore). Gives us variety, overall quality (Celebrity is ranked higher in this department, but there are more factors), great entertainment in theater and lounges.
  16. Why? We have a nice display. We have two. One is four shelves with ships models. Another is with crystal blocks.
  17. I take it as a comedy. Otherwise it is extremely confusing. I collect different things, which I do not use as doorstops. I do not collect anything that I would use as doorstops. 🙂
  18. You will with a time. Since 2003 we have 31 cruise with RCI - 304 points 31 cruise with other 7 cruise lines Less points with others as with RCI we have many 12 dayers and 10 and 9 dayers. With others it is less.
  19. So you do not really care. LOL. In this case I would just let them know I do not need them. They most definitely find next taker We do not sell ours Anthem November 2021, Oasis May 2022, Anthem November 2023. I am surprised people buy on Ebay or anywhere else other people Crystal blocks. Why? They are recognition for reaching certain milestone.
  20. We got 2 onboard and for one we filled a request and followed with a call after return. Several calls. Received it after 8 months
  21. This was our experience. Also many of Ps are much older folks so if they enjoy wearing pins I am happy for them.
  22. We had this situation with block #2 on Oasis in May 2022. We waited about 8 months before receiving it. We called to check several times. #1 and #3 were received right on the ship.
  23. In our experience you need to check if crystal block is in your room during 140pt, 210pt, 280pt etc sailing. If it is not and you want it you need to ask LA and if there are no blocks available on the ship you can fill special form so they will send it to you.
  24. We do not wear pins. They are in our albums about cruising (1 album per approx 10 cruises) together with room keys, programs, tickets and other artifacts. Nobody except us even sees albums usually. From what I noticed in this thread... people conflate wearing pins with some other issues (or maybe not issues, but what they consider to be issues). Yes, there are pinnacles who wear pins and behave differently or wear something not up to your liking. There are pinnacles or any other people who do not wear pins and behave differently or wear something not up to your liking. No need to find something weird about people who wear or do not wear pins. There are no connections. 🙂
  25. Somehow I suspect issue was not with a pin, but with " the tightest trunks I have ever seen anyone wear". Am I correct?
