  1. Can you just click on a link they send to your iPhone/computer, or do you have to download a "zoom-like" app in advance? I am assuming OnPoint initiates the call.
  2. I do not currently have Zoom. I assume you have to use Zoom for all of the online proctored tests? Last cruise in April we did the free drive thru tests at Walgreens. It was SO simple, but now I believe that option has gotten expensive. Not free anymore, at any rate.
  3. How long did it take to get the email verification? How long in advance did you set up an appointment?
  4. Yes we are, it looks like there are rooms still available in all categories. We may get lucky and have a quiet cruise. The week after Labor Day typically is kind of quiet. I am going to proceed with signing up for Port Valet and figure, after reading CruiserBruce's post, it will work out even if something changes again with our flights. Looking forward to the cruise. Enjoy!
  5. American Airlines sent us changes to our flights twice since I booked them. Has anyone had experience with flight changes after signing up with Port Valet? We have 31 days before we fly to Seattle for a Sept. 2 cruise, and though I want to get this checked off my list-I am wondering if there is a way to make changes to our return flights from Seattle if they do it to us again.
  6. Carnival Spirit or Norwegian Spirit? What is full testing?
  7. Last time we sailed NCL in Hawaii, we went on a Whale Watching excursion the day we were at Maui. We have been on many Whale Watching tours in many different areas, but this one was probably the best ever. The naturalist on the boat dropped microphones into the water to allow us to hear the whales "talking" to one another. They got us quite close.
  8. She's sitting at Pier 66 this morning, looks like she's back on schedule.
  9. I have managed to travel all over the world without using Uber or Lyft to date. I am happy that you like using them, but this thread is about taxi availability.
  10. Garden Villa, Deluxe Owners Suite, and Owners Suite get unlimited water cartons. You may have some free cartons in your room, according to your Lattitudes Status. There may be some water already in your refrigerator that is for purchase, you may ask your Room Steward to remove it if you don't want it.
  11. And yes, you will receive 2 dinners, each one for two people.
  12. Before leaving for Tampa for a cruise an April cruise, I learned there would not be any taxis outside our pre-cruise hotel on cruise morning. The hotel manager confirmed it for me. He recommended a car service that worked very well. That was the other option we were considering for this location, short of taxi availability. Checking ahead with people 'in the know' is a wonderful benefit of this forum.
  13. Thank you CGBanks. We fly in September 1st. We would appreciate your report!
  14. If true, this will be HUGE news, and we will see it in its own thread next month. (Call me) skeptical at the moment.
  15. Somehow, I doubt the last sentence of this post........
  16. We have never used Uber or Lyft. Now that we're in our upper 60's, kind of doubt it will happen, but thank you for the suggestion anyway.
  17. For those who have flown into SEATAC recently, were there cabs waiting in the 3rd floor ground transportation area? I know the pandemic has changed many things, so I hope those with a recent arrival into Seattle might answer this question. We will be arriving around 1:00 pm on the Thursday before Labor Day, and I am trying to decide whether I should go ahead and pre-book a service. We will not be in a huge rush, as we are coming in a day ahead of a cruise and will go to the Edgewater beside Pier 66.
  18. Long time Norwegian customer, currently Diamond. Out at sea, No tequila, vodka, whiskey, champs = DEAL BREAKER . Would move to land based options. Get it fixed quick.
  19. Go to portseattle.org. I intend to sign up with them for our September cruise, however I have already gotten one change to my airline schedule and am afraid it may happen again. I have read you can sign up in advance, but have also seen reference to ability to sign up after you board the ship. Unsure if that still applies.
  20. We also stayed in 17004 for a 15 day TransAtlantic, Miami to Barcelona. One of our favourite all time suites, the Master Bath and closet were to die for, but the entire suite was wonderful😘
