  1. Bird, wondering how and when you purchased the Port to Airport transfer thru NCL (only interested in the one for disembarkation day).
  2. I believe with the Port Valet program your Boarding Passes are delivered to your stateroom the night before disembarkation? Is this correct?
  3. We'll be on the Spirit to Alaska in September. Interested, from those in the know, where Breakfast and Lunch is? Onda? Cagneys?
  4. The last part of April, on the Dawn, they were not offering the Wines Around the World, Sail & Sustain Mixology Experience, or Behind the Scenes Tour. They held the Captains Cocktail Party but he was not there. Many of the Officers greeted us as we walked in, but at the time they were keeping the Captain out of the public, kind of in a bubble, to protect him from Covid IMO. I don't remember whether they offered Dining with Officers or not, since we weren't going to sign up this time. You DID have to go to the Shore Excursion Desk, I believe on the first or second day, to ask to sign up for the things they were not offering, in order to get your $50 OBC, and we did. Received our Diamond Pins in our room.
  5. We sailed in 9316 on the Getaway. Our balcony was ENORMOUS. More than made up for the walk to the haven proper, which we rarely used outside of meal times anyway. From what we had read, it was the largest balcony on the ship.
  6. We were on the Sun for a 10 day Southern Caribbean several years ago. The Sports Bar served as "overflow seating" at breakfast time and as a space you could utilize for seating and Air Conditioning in the afternoon.
  7. We did the same in April for a cruise. If you have any questions, ask to speak with someone in the pharmacy. I decided to play it safe, go into the store more than a month in advance, and ask the pharmacist about the free NAAT. I printed out a sheet of NCL's requirements. She let me know that as long as the government was sending them tests to give out (for free) they would have them available. Wondering if the current disinterest in COVID testing is going to end that program, I believe I will ask the pharmacist again on my next trip in, have a September cruise quickly approaching.
  8. When we were in Charlottetown PEI we just walked. Nice town with some good shopping, there was a seafood (we had lobster) restaurant just beside where we disembarked.
  9. Everything you post these days on this forum is negative. Not sure why you bother to visit here, since you have such an obvious disdain for NCL, and your attitude drags conversations here down - like an anchor. Some of us visit here for constructive suggestions about enjoying NCL cruise vacations. Really, if you can not post anything helpful - maybe you should stick to forums about cruise lines that you endorse. People get enough negativity these days.
  10. This is not the case. The master bedroom will have a queen sized bed. It is stated in the description on the website, and we just stayed in a 2BR suite, it had a Q-sized bed.
  11. We bring small rechargeable fans. We are used to sleeping under a ceiling fan at night, so it's hard to sleep without a bit of noise and air moving in the bedroom. They charge via a USB cord that is included, we got them on Am$zon. We also used them out on our balcony in the Caribbean.
  12. In April it was still an option. The two disadvantages would be: It slows down your boarding process significantly The price was $99/pp (I am sure someone will correct me if the $$ amount is incorrect)
  13. I believe that is the new standard in suites. If you were in a suite, they were L'Occitaine products. Much better than the Bvulgari they have been supplying. We were on the Dawn in April, it was the first time we experienced those, wall mounted contraptions, but I kind of liked them.
  14. Our last time in ISP we noticed signs near the zipline area warning people to beware of bears. Thought I would mention that there is a restaurant at the main part of town that serves up THE BEST deep fried halibut chunks! It has an outdoor seating area with torchiere's to keep you warmed up. We watched a woman set her halibut down on a table (to save her seat) and go back inside to get some disposable service items she'd forgotten. When she went inside, a huge raven swooped down and took off with her halibut, a memory I can't forget. When we were there, there were several shops near the restaurant, at least one of them sold some really nice clothing. When we were there we tendered in to this main area, so I suppose after our Whale & Mammal tour we will have to try out this new, free transporter gondola to access the main area.
  15. I love red grapefruit, so Sea Breeze and Paloma
  16. We cruised to Honningsvag one year and found that to be an amazing place. I have viewed Longyearbyen on a webcam numerous times, didn’t imagine that a cruise ship might visit there. If so, that would be a treat. Somehow, viewing it, I imagined it to be a military site.
  17. Sounds like the Dawn needs to be added to your list, according to poster#3 above. The Dawn disappeared off the CDC's color coded list about a week ago. I have been keeping tabs on the Dawn's information, as we disembarked her in New York prior to the TA that is currently sailing. We tested ourselves seven days post cruise , because we were having a Mothers Day Party at our home 10 days post cruise. We tested negative. I was surprised to see so many ships that were "orange-under investigation".
  18. You watch the muster drill when you do your online check-in, then you will watch it a couple more times before you board (they email it to you a couple times in the days before boarding). We knew the video verbatim before we arrived at port. Once you board, you will just have to go by your muster station (location found on your key card and in the diagram on the inside of your stateroom door) prior to your ship sailing, and you just present your key card to the attendant. No mass gathering, just stop by and present your card, they mark your muster visit complete. Super simple. We ate lunch first, then after visiting our stateroom we found the muster location before starting the our sail away party!!
  19. At Walgreens, the choices were Rapid Antigen (that is the one they called the NAAT), or the PCR. For us it was drive thru, and it was FREE!. The only issue we had was that their computers were down (system/company wide) that morning. We took the test 2 days prior to embarkation at 9:30 am, we didn't have our results until mid afternoon, but it was certainly inside the time frame needed. They emailed the results, we printed them. Easy Peasy. We just downloaded their app and picked an appointment time, which opened one week prior to the date selected.
  20. It is a calm, quiet venue for these meals. The menu is the same each day, a pretty good variety. The service is excellent, and the servers get to know you by name. We always eat several meals there, but we also enjoy trying out other restaurants as well. It is a nice benefit.
