  1. Really! Not so surprising though, as much seems to be different from one ship to another as they continue to try and bamboozle is with inconsistencies - or lack of communication and training.
  2. This is still being sent out prior to cruising in a Sky Suite, but most of what is mentioned is not happening : https://www.celebritycruises.com/blog/cruise-butler?allowMobile=y&ecid=em_12874600&rid=1073161705&mes=Retreat Emails 2022 T1&emsc=CCC_EPL_USA_NAN_SL_03-27-24_WEB_13_ASIAREPO&empf=Y&emct=&lnkid=RETREAT_HOST&rcid=83343339
  3. Lucky to be so greatly appreciated!
  4. It appears that the quote button has been used to reply individually with thanks, expressing appreciation to each poster who has provided information.
  5. I emailed 24 hours ago. I did not expect a phone call as I am in Australia, but I have not received any response to my email.
  6. And if the (onboard) price is $63, a 10% discount is $56.70.
  7. If it is $70 a bottle, surely $55.99 is a 20% discount?
  8. Cellarmasters on Solstice appears to have been turned into a sports bar with big screens and loud volume whether anyone is actually watching. Bartender flat out refused to lower the sound although there was nobody else in the area. Soon he had nobody at all, as we left.
  9. Absolutely agree! It's the removal of things that were included at the time of the purchase that irks. Perhaps people who don't understand this might do so if they thought about buying a new fridge and found the shelves missing at the time of delivery. (a bit extreme, but . . . )
  10. Absolutely agree! The final straw for us after changes made to our October/November 2023 cruise may well be the upcharge for a half decent red wine on our March 2024 cruise. We did not pay for an all inclusive cruise to now have to sign chits, keep track of unexpected expenses and fork out more $$$ at the end of the cruise. As you have pointed out much that was included at the time of booking has subsequently been removed with neither notice or compensation. March 2024 may well be our goodbye to Celebrity. For the first time we did not book another cruise on board our last cruise. We have two more previously booked cruises - fully refundable.
  11. We had a similar experience recently on Solstice where the best (in my opinion) table was reserved for a couple. I didn't ask where they were accommodated. They also had obviously specially prepared (i.e. not on any menu) dishes.
  12. Enjoy your cruise! Absolutely agree, the upcharge for the Orchid Garden is definitely worth it!
  13. For accurate comparison, you need to add $23 per person per day for gratuities. Our experience is similar to that of @terrydtx in post #105 above.
  14. I would check with Celebrity. I have not boarded a cruise starting in Japan, but I would arrive at the port by 5pm at the latest, as in most places around the world, all passengers and crew need to be checked in and boarded no later than 90 minutes before scheduled departure on the first day of the cruise. Enjoy your cruise!
  15. Our experience on Solstice in October this year was not as good as our experience on Eclipse in December 2022 in several areas, but it did improve in some areas during the course of the cruise. And before anyone jumps in and says we should have brought things to the attention of management - we did - hence the improvement in some areas.
  16. Some are $8 above the Premium limit of $17. Post #2 in this thread has photos of the Classic, Premium and Elevated (above Premium to make more money) wines :
  17. I hope she is listening to the dissatisfaction with the recent changes to drink packages and repricing of wines!
  18. Further to my answer to your question yesterday, there is an in depth post by Marcus Dobler on the Azamara Live thread on a social media website. My post may or may not survive if I mention the book of faces.
  19. We did our 31st and probably last cruise with Azamara earlier this year. A mix of "old" and newer crew. Pretty much the same apart from the volume of music during sets in The Living Room and The Den, which has steadily risen since about 2017 to levels consistently above the well documented safe level of 85 decibels. We actively avoided those areas during sets after consultation (not for the first time) with management and no improvement. Music has been a large part of our cruise experience enjoyment over around 60 cruises. In The Cabaret Lounge - same production shows were still being rolled out. Food - ok. Shops - a bit more upmarket. As far as I can remember, the same activities as before were available during the day. Captain's Club points were not added for either Azamara or Celebrity and the cruise was completed before the separation. Followed up, but no joy.
  20. I'm sure you would enjoy the wonderful mix of nature and history! We certainly did. 😊
  21. Please try and stick close to your chosen check-in time. Times are allocated in order to manage boarding most efficiently. If half the ship's passengers all decide to arrive before the earliest available time the result is chaos! We unfortunately experienced that recently in Sydney. On the other hand, if you want to arrive a bit later than your chosen time, that is not usually a problem, as long as you allow yourself time to be on board about 90 minutes before departure. (from memory that is the requirement on departure day)
  22. The clingy shower curtain has been improved by the use of a heavier fabric. The music volume however, has become unenjoyable at unsafe decibel levels.
