  1. There is no Lobster night. NCL got rid of it many years ago. I think still the only cruise line.
  2. If you want to tie up money on multiple cruises with deposits then by all means do it. And NCL has your money. Like the cruise next program. Just not my style. But I do purchase cruise next because I know I will cruise NCL again. Two max in case I book a balcony. I'm a shot from the hip person. Not loyal to any cruise line. Already looking past Panama Canal. Lots of cruises on the west coast.
  3. I never have understood "multiple cruises booked". That is one long waited appointment. And then someone to say they have three or four in the next two years. WHY! You can only take one cruise at a time. My next cruise is December 2 on the Bliss. I rarely book more than a month out. I have never made a final payment because I pay full the day I book. Your May cruise is still six months out. And then you wait on another planned cruise. I plan on doing at least three more cruises before May and then Alaska again. I did five weeks in Alaska last season on three different cruise lines. I was on the Sun when the ship hit the iceberg entering Hubbard Glacier. Using that FCC on the Bliss through the Panama Canal. But still all my cruises cost me money. Cruising is an expensive hobby if you cruise more than four times a year. I'm glad I have the time, finances and no kids or pets (they need attention when you are gone too) at home to come and go as I please. I am addicted to cruising. Good to know you saved $1K.
  4. Yeah. Sometimes travel costs are more than the cruise. And then again sometimes not. Happy cruising
  5. Cruising is an expensive hobby. Be prepared to check prices every day. What good is a cruise if you have to wait for six months to a year. Be spontaneous. Not finding to many solo discounts since most covid restrictions have been cancelled. Good luck.
  6. I have never used a rode on a cruise. But I guess that is the thing to do on a cruise ship. I'm 5'10" and 250lbs. Nobody wants to see my body at the pool.
  7. Is there streaming for the unlimited wifi? What good is the internet without streaming. Football season.
  8. You can request but they are not for you to keep and take home. NCL will charge you.
  9. Why did you choose NCL? And then the Prima. New ship and not much info. All depends on your interest. Shows, tours, dining, comedians, line dancing, lions , tigers and bears OH MY. Do you like to make reservations or are you a shoot from the hip person? I myself tend to change my mind and do not like to be tied down with appointments. And if you wait for the end of the cruise for that special dinner, well you may be to full to enjoy it. My suggestion is do what you did for enjoyment on CCL. All cruises are the same but with a little difference. njsmom, you have asked many questions on the NCL form. Hope you are getting the answers you need to cruise NCL
  10. No I am not suggesting but you just did. Why did you think this? And why "hopefully"? Taking my 11th cruise since the restart next month on the Bliss to the Panama Canal. Cruises cost money. They are not cheap. But there are ways to minimize costs. And I can have just as much fun as you. I can PROVE IT.........Not
  11. Depends on where you look. Jewelry stores can be expensive. I can always find reasonably priced shirts and souvenirs on board.
  12. I can have fun at home for half the costs. You have to pay for fun on a cruise ship. The more you pay the more fun you have.
  13. Didn't I just say that. A suite is a suggestion. Sorry you didn't like my opinion. I myself would not cruise during spring break on any cruise line.
  14. Spring break. It will be a party cruise. Top dollar. Four people, one cabin, one bathroom. It is all about how much. And with NCL and all inclusive for four $$$$$. You need a suite.
  15. And I read this as the first ship to only have coke products and that no changing over from Pepsi. Different companies with different soda guns different pre-mix containers. Cans can be changed at any time. Coming to your next NCL ship soon.
  16. So which was first? The chicken or the egg. And what was the prize for being first to notice? I need more information before I decide who is right.
  17. Yes you are. Smoking anywhere to a non smoker is always a problem(observation). Maybe the filters and air ducts on the next ship will be better
  18. Who cares if the cruise is "advertized' as a sale. If the cruise you are interested is at a reasonable price do it. If not, monitor other cruise lines with comparable itineraries and wait. Why is this hard?
  19. I learn something every day. I'm not that tech savvy but a gadget geek. I always bring my Sirius Stiletto portable on every cruise. Thanks
  20. Wrap around balconies are different than aft balconies. More viewing area. And a little more expensive.
  21. Cruising the Bliss though the Panama Canal in Dec. Wondering who the Captain and GM are?
