  1. And if your table/waiters are still occupied by traditional first seating...even if other tables have cleared and are available.?
  2. We simply get used to it. After all..it's 5:00 somewhere. 😉 All I have to do is pretend we are on a different time zone...which happens a lot in our travels.
  3. Me too. Used to love MTD....until they really messed it up. Now we are very happy doing the traditional first seating. 🤗 Only trouble I am having is the WC...they won't give us anything but MTD and we booked the day the quarters came out. Still can't get it changed. 😞
  4. Can't comment much about the other restaurants...we seem to be sticking to Coastal Kitchen. Last night's Filet Mignon was fantastic! Better than the ones we had been getting at Chops. Sitting at Coco Cay right now......winds howling. I think NCL waved it off (they have to tender), since the ship was out there this morning..and then left. Will be on next week as well. "Sea" you on board. 🙂 Will check out your Ducks. Bucky gets them all the time with his Jeep Wrangler...people just give them to him. It's "a Jeep thing" as well. 😉
  5. Sounds like a fantabulous plan! I know you will enjoy, especially now that she is feeling better! Have a great cruise!
  6. We had a lot of Ducks on our Danube river cruise. Enjoyed feeding them a couple of croissants at one port. 😄
  7. Yeah, we seem to be doing that all the time now. Even on booking little Enchantment for next year, with far less venues to offer (no CK/SL)...we booked a GS cabin. Seems just to fit us well. 😉
  8. OK.....you pay for that person to do it. 😄 I know the cruise lines, and port authority won't shell out the money for it. They are short handed as it is. They don't even do that at airports now.
  9. Yes, that was what I was stating when I called the ones on deck #1 "Duck Cabins". I described them in detail. There are also the ones I mentioned that are "French Balconies". We had one of those in our bedroom area...and a full walk out veranda in the living room section. The French Balconies are simply sliders and a rail. Cannot walk out of the room on an actual balcony, but it is nice to open to the fresh air with that large opening. You see a lot of them in France, Spain..etc. at the hotels. Expedition ships have them, but they slide up and down..not side to side like the river ships.
  10. LOL my friend...you are way too kind! 😄 Gosh I hope we get to cruise with you two again someday!
  11. Yes, I was explaining there are no actual inside cabins on Viking. The "Duck cabins" on the river ships don't have a balcony, but they do have a high up large window. Called "Duck cabins" since you can see Ducks swimming by the window. The bulk of those cabins are actually under the water level.
  12. Bucky is the tall dark and handsome one...I am the short and frumpy one. 😄 Will try spot you. Yes, we are excited to see Grace again. Oh no, she has us trouble makers to deal with again! I am not familiar with the names of the new concierges. I think "Giggling Jimmy" is on board in CK as well.
  13. I don't know of any inside cabins on the river boats? All Longships are identical. Last week I just returned from European Sojourn. With low water levels we had to do an all too common "ship swap". Vidar to Lif. Both the same, but our suite was definitely different on Lif...half the storage and a bit different on layout than Vidar. There are "French Balconies" and "Duck cabins" (which are just windows at water level...no balconies)...but they are not inside cabins, which I consider as "no balcony or windows and are in the inside of most ocean ships.
  14. Sounds like that was a totally awesome cruise!! 🤗 We did the westbound TA on Wonder last year at this time. It was great, and like you...love the sea days! Also was fun to usher Wonder into her new home port of Port Canaveral, which is my local home port!. Perfect! Booking Alaska again while on Wonder next week, since the 2025 itineraries are coming out. Love the B2B on Radiance Seward to Seward! Was cancelled on us during Covid..so this is a reboot. 😉
  15. Teerara...I booked that same cabin I had on our TA (and including our B2B we did in the Med prior) for my B2B coming up this Sunday. Much pricier for this one of course (with no price protection from cancelled Allure) but each leg 7K and 8K. Expected a higher price of course. Decided to check into another B2B for this same time next year...same cabin. Now almost 12K for each leg. Yikes!!! 😨 Nope...pass on that. Ended up on little Enchantment 9 night in a GS out of Tampa at this same time next year. 5K. Yeah, not same ship in the least...but yeowch!! $$$$ 😮
  16. It has always come up on the interactive TV under "account" for us.
  17. True. I was thinking of the time spent by an officer to host the meeting. The set up of the meeting with the coffee, donuts etc., and the gifts they gave out. Not to mention cleanup after. Just one more thing RCI has decided we don't need any longer. 😉
  18. Lack of interest is part of it (attendance was going down along with roll call involvement)....but mostly...IMHO..it is yet another of the cost cutting that RCI is enjoying from so many cut backs during the "Covid era". RCI probably loved the savings on those, and figured since they have been gone so long...why bring them back? Guess they think we would not notice....but many of us remember.
  19. Indeed...and is very nice if you have vouchers, deciding to make happy hour...any hour. 😉 Though what I was pointing out (referencing to myself), were the vouchers they put through on our account....during that dedicated happy hour time in the SL, though should not be that way being full suite guests. But...eh..free is free.
  20. My broker who gave me huge grief for buying RCI stock during Covid, is now enjoying that egg on his face. 😄
