Yeah, I never liked those paper bags either. With having to use the laundry often (for things I would not be devastated to be destroyed) on WC first quarter...we fortunately had the cloth bags. They were great, since the crew simply washed and reused them. Seems to make sense to me. 🙂

We have never had a problem getting a drink at any of the bars on RCI ships. Of course when I sit or stand to order...I have my card out in advance....next to a few bucks cash tip. 😉

OMG...I love...love that market in Barcelona! It would be a Chef's dream to live near that! Also love the World Market (much like this one) in Budapest. I stocked up on the local Smoked Paprika. Soooo good! 🙂

We flew to Miami from Orlando last Sept. to join WC, flying 225.00 per person first class. And the plane was empty...I mean 10 pax total! First class nice to drag on all our long term luggage. 😄 Still have to pay for a transfer to the Orlando airport from home, flying or train. Not much difference I guess, but would like to try the train just for the experience. 🙂

Totally agree with every word! We have X booked as well, and want to try Silversea in the future. Not a fan of the recent change with RCI to "Mega theme park" ships. Happily will be booking much more with X.

Forgot to mention...we would have joined you on that one, but we are in Australia and NZ cruising going to the "Dark Side" 😉 with Viking.

Aww...bummer for us. Though I know it is about the same for you to travel to PC or to PE. It is so super close for us out of PC. We are lazy and don't like the long road travel any longer (too much time traveling in the home on wheels I guess). 😉 But I will book Apex out of PC..even though it is a 7 night (will do B2B) just for the convenience. 🙂 Sorry about that, otherwise we would have loved to join you.

Gary!!! Silly boy...I wanted to book out of PC! I see Apex 7 nights out of there late 2025 and early 2026. I just pulled up PC departures and was all confused. No Ascent...no 10/11 night cruise. 😑 You must be going out of Ft. Lauderdale? Driving the 20 minutes from our home over to PC is a treat for us...driving that traffic to Ft. Lauderdale for 3 hours...not so much. 😉

I think that will include us as well! 🤗 B2B for us too.

Wow...thanks! Guess I have not been keeping up with X placements at all...now I will. 🙂 We are really booked up from now until May of 2026...including EN this November, and then Adventure Nov. 2025 when they come in. But we have a "hole to fill" from December 2025 to May 2026 after that. 🤗

Indeed all of the ads you see for RCI pertains to young families pictured...and in fact NBC Today show just showed an article about the young adults cruising more.....wanting that theme park/party atmosphere. So...where does that leave we...the loyal cruisers of the gray hair variety? Thus, I think this loyalty match luring the older set over to X and Silverseas is a good thing for us...though I just wish they would put an X ship at our local port in PC....or is that in the works?

Ditto for me as well. With the cruises I have been taken, rather frequently 😉...it's nice I can use the stock OBC on all three lines. Has just been RCI, but X is coming up (OBC applied already), and want to cruise Silversea in the future. Then later...if and when I am not cruising any longer (though I don't see that happening just yet)...I can hopefully cash in the gain. Win..win. 🙂

Beautiful!! Always a fan of the magical waterfalls! Though I always wonder...the volumes of all that fresh water being dumped into the salt water. 😮

We are not a fan of the two level CLS cabins. But wow...our favorite "go to" cabin of a GS...is perfect on Wonder. Love being on the same level as CK/SL, but in a better layout for us. 🙂
