  1. Fingers crossed for you that they make it right.
  2. Please take RuthC's suggestions to heart. You want the freedom to go anywhere on the ship you want to and if you get tired while walking just think what you might miss. Additionally, the scooters can be taken ashore (those without tenders) and would give you a chance to see things you might not otherwise. And if you encounter any problems maneuvering it there will always be a staff member to give you a hand. Enjoy your cruise!
  3. Try "Treasures of Cruising the World" with Bill & Mary Ann (cruisingwithbillandmaryann.blogspot.com) although I don't believe they have posted anything about this trip yet.
  4. I'm guessing Mother Nature and the weather is what caused the title on this thread. Hopefully OP will provide more information.
  5. Well ONE toot anyway..... and the air horn from the condos
  6. Probably sent him to help in the Dining Room as I'm sure they are lined up already.
  7. The close up of the bridge showed only one fellow and he was walking aft
  8. Anyone hazard a guess as to why the later departure? Maybe waiting for late arrivals.
  9. I'll have: Iceberg Wedge Salad, Lamb Chops (no sauce), Beets, Baked Potato and the Chocolate Souffle please. Sleep well tonight as the ship rocks and rolls. Thank you for taking us along with you!
  10. Look as if you are in for the "cradle" to rock and roll tonight. Sleep well! The later you can get off the ship tomorrow morning the better as they are still forecasting rain until 900a. I so enjoy your cruising posts and thank you for the time you take to keep us all educated and entertained. Perhaps I'll get to meet Poohby Joe in March on the Rotterdam.
  11. Ditto that! Sorry you are missing Half Moon Cay today but have a wonderful one none the less.
  12. Okay, the subject of this thread begs the question just what does one have to do to get an offer for a "free stateroom"? Spend my children's inheritance (probably not enough to do any good)?? 🥴
  13. For once I'm delighted to be so old as to more than likely not be around in 20 years.
  14. Needed to call HAL yesterday. Attempted calling their 877 and 855 numbers and got "The number you are calling cannot be dialed" on the 1st try and the second time the automated lines tried to transfer me to the correct department and the call immediately ends. Waited about 1/2 hour and called their 800 and after answering the automated menu questions my call was answered after 2 rings.
  15. I have a B2B2B booked in March on the Rotterdam and when I received HAL's email this morning about this sale I investigated the fare for each leg, same stateroom category. Although the first 2 legs had not been discounted the 3rd one was. I called HAL and after 2 rings my call was answered by a very polite young man. He double checked my figures and immediately re-fared that segment. Saved me $150, YEA.
  16. I didn't know they were rolling out new software. But, I just signed in to check a new price reduction on one of my spring cruises and the site worked just fine for me.
  17. Thank you all for answering my questions. Happy Holidays to all.
  18. I am doing a B2B2B on the Rotterdam in March. I understand that in FLL I can get an "in transit" card and leave the ship early to run a couple of errands. I have two questions for those of you who have done a B2B in FLL: 1. When I am ready to reboard do I need to wait until the ship is 0'd out before I can reboard? 2. Assuming I wait until the ship has 0'd out but the new boarding passengers are not yet being allowed to board just what is my procedure when I get back to the terminal? TIA
  19. Well I'm now thoroughly confused, not that that is a new thing for me. Earlier today I did a mock booking to see if a certain stateroom was available. When I got to the page showing the cost there was a message, bottom left side of screen stating "Your AARP OBC has been applied". Since I already have a B2B2B booked with the AARP applied to all segments this would have been the 4th cruise in 2024 where it was applied. Go figure?????😵
  20. Well I got it credited to both cruises on my B2B. The second one had to be manually applied by a HAL supervisor.
  21. We must have been on the same B2B or I guess there could have been other "privileged" on my B2B.
  22. Roy, thank you for taking all of us along on your cruise. Your pictures were wonderful. Get plenty of rest and have a safe journey home.
  23. I have a lanyard with a plastic sleeve that hold the card and it works just fine to open the stateroom door and when i order something from the bar i just hand it over lanyard and all and they do not remove the card from the sleeve to scan it.
