Thank you that is most interesting. We are near Tilbury as well so I’ll take a look at Ambassador. My grandparents have 3 WC on Cunard under their belts plus many more, but I think Cunard may be too formal for us. My cousin loves Cunard &’keeps telling me to try. One day perhaps.

The Queen probably drank Fortnums tea. (But she was known to be frugal so who knows) There Queen Anne & Royal Blend teas are heavenly. As a Brit I’m very fussy about my tea. Made properly in a pot with the appropriate amount of brew time.

I concur once the economy bites bookings may go down. Also for our upcoming May cruise on Silhouette we are trying Aqua for the first time. We have only cruised suites before either PH or RS equivalent. On upcoming October Apex cruise we are sailing CS. Can no longer justify the prices for higher suites. On E class I’ll only sail in a suite. I may end up trying an SV one day if I like the ship enough. I don’t think I’d try an IV. There are alternatives to try instead.

Still over two weeks to go to my sailing & lot of the suites are no longer available. Still cabins in other classes. Europe cruise.

Can I ask BestGuessed above which is your favourite line out of them please? I sometimes wish there was a quiz to put likes & dislikes to get the best cruise line 😂

Yes all possibilities. That did make me laugh about your friend. Cunard is too formal for us. My grandparents did 3 WC on Cunard with one being the inaugural QEII cruise.

I have two issues with X. The first is that they do not offer a WC which we would like to do at some point; so we will have to start experimenting with other lines. I’m not really wanting to have the hassle of B2B. The second is that whilst I would be more than happy to always cruise DH isn’t. He enjoys them whereas I absolutely love them.

We were in San Sebastián in June. We are in several excellent restaurants. Our least favourite atmosphere wise was the one where the staff wore masks.

Personally I think no masks for the crew is fine, as long as the staff who want to wear them can do so.

I always travel with a large shawl in my bag that can go over my head & shoulders should I need to cover up.

When we sailed Constellation I felt that it was too small in some respects. For me the S class was perfect. I do wonder whether I will think the Apex is too big but we will see. Overall I think the more luxury lines will be too small for us although we are possibly looking at both Saga & Viking cruises for 2024. No doubt we won’t & we will come back to X as usual!

I always take my own tea. Usually Fortnums or PH tips depending on my mood!

I don’t like reserving chairs. But if you are actively using them how is that selfish? I like shade & dh the sun. We get one each & swap around for a bit. Some people will no doubt think that’s selfish too!

We have CS booked for October & Aqua booked for May. Agent told us that we could upgrade both WiFi & drinks nearer the time for our May cruise.

We have a Norway cruise booked with Celebrity in May. I did look at other lines but they weren’t the exact dates we could go.

I don’t think so. I just expect to get what I’ve paid for. Same as on land. Just had a lovely holiday in Europe & service was fine. I won’t complain to the staff or about them as it’s not their fault. It’s a result of the pandemic. Me commenting on here I think is fine & I’ll be especially mindful not to comment on the ship as it’s not the staffs fault. Im obviously not that worried about it as I have two upcoming cruises booked & if I can persuade Harry I’d like to book a third!
