I hope you feel better soon. Were they testing people on the ship? I assume people would have to present themselves for testing. We are sailing next week & we always take a box with us so hopefully we can keep track of it if we are unwell.

We’ve done cruises in July & August in the Med & land holidays & as others have said it’s crowded & very hot. Days are long as well so if you can have a couple of sea days or land trip after to rest. I prefer early June & September in the Med as it’s not so hot but had to stick to school holidays when the children were young.

When we go away with friends we may occasionally meet for dinner or drinks. We don’t spend the whole time together. We’ve done it a few times & it works. Enjoy your cruise. You’ve paid a premium to be in a suite so don’t waste it.

I should imagine there are several. We stayed in hotel in Cornwall last year & men had to be in jacket & tie. No shorts were allowed.

I think I always miss a trick with pillow choices. I just take what we are given. At some point I must experiment!

We haven’t been contacted for our CS next week. I didn’t expect to be.

I can’t even remember being contacted for our PH. We just asked for what we wanted when we boarded. Disney I have vague recollections did. Think we were equivalent of RS then.

We drop our cases with the porters but generally have a cabin bag that we take with us with a change of clothes if our luggage arrives after dinner.

What I observe when I’m out for dinner in a restaurant that has table service that most people dress well. There maybe an outlier or 2 but I don’t let that affect me.

We’ve used FBC for the first time for our upcoming cruise from Rome. Usually we fly in a a few days before but family commitments mean we have to fly in on the day. 🙏

I haven’t cruised for 7 years. We have done lots of land holidays. My attitude to being on a ship is I get better service than I do at home. I’m not cooking, cleaning up or waitressing for the home workers in my family. This is my me time. I relax far more on a ship than any land holiday. I’m so looking forward to it 😍

Well I’m as blind as a bat without my spectacles so I just don’t wear them. I know what I’m wearing & what dh is wearing. Other than that I’ll not be able to see unless I put specs on. If I don’t like what I see I’ll keep them off 😂

I’d say it’s like police & doctors - they all seem so much younger than I remember 😂

My dcs are now 24 & 20 so it wasn’t my kids running around but other peoples! To be honest I don’t mind it but we weren’t in a smart place just a local taverna where it wasn’t frowned upon. I actually think it’s quite healthy to expose children to normal drinking behaviour ie a regular pre dinner cocktail & wine with dinner (adults only obviously). I think it demystifies the prevalent drinking culture we have in the U.K. but I know not everyone agrees.

Must have been quite bad for them to do that. How old were the teens?

We are sailing in about 10 days Apex Med cruise. Still quite a few suites available.

We are fairly flexible & don’t mind eating later if that will help the MD.

I actually find wearing loose fitting dress better for me that jeans or trousers. I have more room for the all important dessert in a dress. No such room in tight jeans or trousers 😂

I like the AI fare. I can try different cocktails or wines I wouldn’t normally as I would stick to what I like. I experiment more definitely with AI.

Thank you We will keep Our reservations & if we need to change times due to shows will see if we can. Have been in PH before & not been told no. Next times in Aqua & CS so doubt we will have that flexibility. Small worries. I’ll be cruising & not cooking so I’ll be happy!
