  1. But not if you want concierge or AQ as far as I’m aware.
  2. Not many. Was on Apex in October & I’d say a handful at most. Dh took a jacket but that’s as far as it went. I wore smart trousers and tops. It’s one of the Jain things I like - not having to pack full blown outfits!
  3. I’ll bear them in mind. We usually cruise celebrity but not a fan of IV & suites are getting too expensive! But we like not having to dress up in black tie…
  4. Friends have just been on Ambassador her first cruise so nothing to compare to but loved it.
  5. We will either book suites, SV or another cruise line. Having seen an IV no chance I’ll sail in one. I use my balcony every morning while DH is asleep & I then don’t disturb him. In the late afternoon I sit on there with 🍷 We just need to find an alternative line that suits us as well as X. Thibk if X had a mix of traditional & IV then people would have had a real choice. Now they don’t.
  6. My goodness what terrible customer service and stressful for those affected especially if booked flights. And cancelling some group bookings & not others? Bizarre doesn’t come close.
  7. If you don’t ask you will never get! Worth the call.
  8. I agree so helpful & great to avoid the crowds.
  9. Our very first X cruise nearly 25 years ago we were told we were upgraded to a SS on Galaxy. Did spoil us though!
  10. We were on a Disney cruise in Corsica many years ago. 5 coaches were held up due to an accident. Ship waited we ended up sailing about 2 hours later. One of the few times we were on a ship’s excursion.
  11. On Apex last year we ended up buying bottles as the servings by glass (premium) frankly weren’t great.
  12. We take our driver’s license & ship pass. Everything else remains in the safe.
  13. It’s a taster I’d say. We live in the U.K. & often cruise the Mediterranean but take holidays there also.
  14. Dh tends to wear a jacket smart black trousers but no tie.
  15. I agree but gosh the staff make you feel bad if you don’t tip extra! So i invariably do add a $ or so.
  16. From what I recall massage & other treatments we had included 18% tip with another line to go up to 20%.
  17. Up to now we’ve always sailed in suites from PS to CS or 1 bed suite on disney. We are booked in Aqua on silhouette for our next cruise. Can’t justify the pricing. But on E class will have to be SV or a suite as I spend a lot of my time on my own balcony. IV won’t cut it for me. If prices rise for suites we will look elsewhere.
  18. If you ever get the chance take it to see Iguazu. Absolutely breathtaking. Did Brazilian and Argentinian side. Went to Niagara a few years later & was so so disappointed. We were wanting to do Chilean fjords in 2025 but hadn’t booked yet. So will keep an eye out.
  19. I’ve remembered a stop in Tunisia was cancelled many years ago on Disney when there was a terror attack. Unfortunately a cancelled or changed cruise stop is a risk we all take when choosing to cruise.
  20. A change in itinerary can always happen as political situations can & do shift. We were there in October on Apex and it was a bucket list stop. I felt very safe there and we went to Bethlehem as well. It’s truly amazing I hope you get to go.
  21. I’m outraged on your behalf, outraged I tell you. Make sure you tell the captain when you board about your dreadful check in time. 🤣
  22. I’ve been in both CS & viewed SS on Apex. Without my husband’s help I could not get in & out of bath/shower combo. There were no accessible SS left when we booked & I would be reluctant to book a standard SS or CS again. I don’t think there are accessible CS on X ships.
  23. We were on Apex in October. Dined twice at Fine Cut & once each at Eden & Le Petit Chef. LPC food was nothing special but good animation. FC was really good. Eden mind blowing! If I only had one to choose from then Eden every time.
