  1. They would likely say...no. No way for them to verify the funds? To be safe, plan on cash in your wallet and keep it in the safe. We've brought as much as $600 cash to pay for various private tours.
  2. WOWZA!!! Guess I could spring for a "color and style consultation".😂
  3. Is that Peanut Butter cookies? Did you have to ask for them to be made? Were they hidden in the back? Or were they out in the display?
  4. When you order Elite Tea, does it count as a room service order? Or is it "free"?
  5. Maybe, that type of OBC doesn't show up until you're actually on the ship. ???
  6. That's good. However, many are not aware of the problem.
  7. It's usually an OBC. IIRC, it will be refundable. Therefore, you would get a check in the mail approx. 3-6 weeks after the cruise (if you don't spend it on the ship).
  8. No. There have been reports of getting kettles when not in the UK, so YMMV.
  9. If no one has them, you can get all the menus when you get on the ship. Just ask a waiter in the MDR.
  10. Been there, done that. Took a 1 hour bus ride (both directions). Wore N95 masks the whole time and still got Covid. No more buses for me in the foreseeable future.
  11. The "Dine Line" is nice...after the first day. It takes forever to get them to answer on the first day...unless you're in a suite.
  12. I wouldn't want Elite status. A real prize would be Suite status. IMHO
  13. I had an issue getting logged in. I use Last Pass that automagically fills the user name/password. DH's account...no problem. My account...got "sorry, try again later", over and over. I clicked on "forgot my password" and when offered to change it, I entered the same password. TA DA! Fixed it.
  14. After your unfortunate ID theft, did you get all 3 of your credit reports frozen? That, at least, keeps thieves from using your credit cards or opening new accounts in your name.
  15. Not always. We did a 5 day in a suite and got a first night dinner.
  16. I hope someone answers...I'd like to know, as well.
  17. Yes!!! The Plus/Premier don't make any sense for tea-totalers.
  18. A fan wouldn't necessarily have dual voltage. Check the label on the fan or the box that it came in.
  19. You're not forced to use the Medallion. A portion of pax don't use the Medallion due to pacemakers. There's another portion that refuse to use the Medallion for "privacy". If you want a Medallion and GS is a zoo...just wait until day 2 or 3.
  20. They're not scrambling for our next cruise. We leave next week. Checked the upgrade price and it would cost $62/day/pp (apparently taxes and insurance prices increase as well). So, that's a hard NO for us.
  21. On the Sapphire: service was almost non-existent. We were offered morning tea/coffee/water and some pastries. In the afternoon...nada. When we got hungry, we left. It's not like they were busy, we were almost the only people up there. On the Discovery: the service was better. We were again almost the only people in there. Can't remember a lot of specifics, but we finally decided it's just not for us.
  22. We've done the Sanctuary on 2 different ships (Discover and Sapphire - old vs. new) and were disappointed both times. Probably won't give it a third try, unless we have too much non-refundable OBC.
