The absolutely best way to start a cruise.

Apparently, not cameras as @EDVM96 and @Ken the cruiser stated, however there are cameras that can see the balconies. Not each specific balcony, but enough of a view to see hanky panky or someone climbing on the railing.

The buffets usually have a wide selection of food that changes daily. Some of the dishes will also be on the menu in the MDR. The buffets are any easy way to overindulge OR carefully restrict what you eat (depending on you). I like the buffets, but the hot food is never hot...lukewarm at best. It's still a nice way to be able to sample a variety of different foods all during one meal.

I haven't seen that menu before. I like the additions (Chicken Curry, Caesar's salad, Mac N' Cheese, soup). Nice! -

That could get really boring on a long cruise. We're booked on a 54 day cruise in 2026. Maybe, they'll come to their senses and change it back. -

There have been reports that the lunch menu doesn't change from day-to-day. Is this correct? Was there a different menu each day? -

We have the same issue. One is "ready", the other needs Shoreside info. No idea why because I didn't give credit info for Shoreside. My suggestion: wait to see if the Medallions show up. If you don't get them, just pick them up at the port. And ignore the Shoreside thing. -
Did you forget to put this in the review/rant that you posted?

Wow!! FYI: the Elite benefits have been whittled down to almost nothing since the restart and are NOT the reason most "old timers" sail on Princess. I've been on 25+ cruises on Princess on almost every ship they have (plus some that are no longer in the fleet) and never had a BAD cruise. An occasional entree I didn't care for...just ask for something else. A band I don't like...go somewhere else. Watched the Wake Show once on my first cruise and realized it was a sales pitch and never watched it again. I didn't realize it was on MUTs. That's interesting. Different strokes.... BTW: welcome to Cruise Critic, try posting again with reviews of your other cruise lines.

No limit. Every day, if you want.

My CVP says even he doesn't have a way to put a cabin on hold.

Everyone. It's a glitch. Hopefully, they'll fix it soon.
-
One or the other (or both) are available. I've seen them in the buffet. Pretty sure you can get some at the International Cafe (IC). Likely in the MDR as well...just ask.

I have a solution for the cheeseburger dilemma. Have someone at your table order a cheeseburger as an extra main dish and then you eat it.😇

I wish they'd do a low salt menu for everything. Most foods are way too salty for me. At home, I rarely add salt while eating even in a restaurant. I'm always amazed to see people add salt to the food on their plate BEFORE they taste it.😵💫

The laundry staff takes your stuff out of the paper bag and puts tags on each item (it's fun finding the tags later...like 2 years later), then transfers everything to a net bag for washing. They don't care (and how would they know for sure) which items belong to which person in the cabin. Be aware that some have had clothes returned with shrinkage, holes, etc. Never happened to us, but it could. I wouldn't put anything that's brand new or expensive in the laundry bag, just in case. Some have had success getting reimbursement for ruined items. Also, to verify what's being sent, I take pix of all the items laid out on the bed. That way if something is missing, I can report it and hopefully get it back. Same as above, never lost anything, but it has happened to others.

So funny. You will get bottles of water on board...unless they've changed that.

Print out the list that's available on Princess.com. The ONE time we were in a suite (major one-time splurge), we were very disappointed because our steward either wasn't aware of the extras or didn't care. I had to show him the list in order to get 75% of the extras and still didn't manage to get all of them. It was only a 4-day cruise or I would have insisted on a different steward.
