Thank you for the great suggestions. There are few posts suggesting South American itineraries. I’m going to start looking at some of these. I’ve looked at the Galapagos before and they were quite pricey. Maybe if the stock market starts heading in a positive direction we’ll have some extra money to consider the Galapagos.

We booked our 1st TA while onboard the Beyond in Dec. It’s the Oct 26, 2024 13 nights Ascent sailing from Barcelona to Ft. Lauderdale. It would be our 1st TA sailing. We got an good price compared to the ridiculously high prices today but hubby still thinks it’s too expensive. We booked a refundable Aqua Suite for $9045 with $2625 OBC. The prices have doubled since December. I can’t decide if it’s worth paying more for for a suite on a TA or not.

Hi Jim, sorry if this is a silly question. We are booked on on the Ascent TA Oct 26, 2024 from Barcelona to Fort Lauderdale. Would you consider this Mid-Atlantic or Southern crossing? I know the weather is unpredictable but I’m hoping for warm weather to enjoy the outside pools. Thanks Sue

Has anyone taken the Kohunlich & Dzibanche Mayan Ruins Combo tour through Royal Caribbean? Was it worth the long bus ride? We’re on the Oasis Feb 26th sailing and we’re considering this excursion.

What did you like and dislike about Virgin? I’ve never sailed with them.

I called today with this offer and the agent said it’s the rate with adding the drinks, tips and wifi and then 10% off. It wasn’t a deal at all. If you find out different please let me know and I’ll call back.

I could kick myself for not booking a non-refundable rate for the TA on the Ascent in 2024. I got a great rate at $9100 for a refundable Aqua Suite in Oct 2024 but I could have gotten a $8000 non-refundable rate. I booked in Dec the 1st day the cruise opened for booking while onboard the Beyond and chose the non-refundable. I went back the next day to change it to the non-refundable rate and the price for both refundable and non-refundable had increased almost a 100%. I was so disappointed.
