Sorry to derail this for a moment @YVRteacher but, Thank you @Von & John. I like to read books that are set in the area that I am visiting. Right now, I have some fluff “Who Done It” by Laura Childs, “Confederacy of Dunces” a Pulitzer prize winner and a historical biography from a plantation child all set in New Orleans. September I will be sailing the NCL Jewel north in Alaska. I had pretty much decided on my fluff reading for Alaska would be Dana Stabenow. But who knows. Guess I’ll have to go check out some on your list. So, again, thank you.

Well that was a way to pass a Sunday. 😄 OK, OK I didn't read it all, but I did have fun as I will be going on an AK cruise this September. Nice to read about another detailed traveler gleanings. I didn’t see if anyone gave you the info about the visitor’s center in Ketchikan (131 Front Street, on Berth 2 dock and at Berth 3{seasonal}). They have a map that has two different walking tours of the town. You can also get it online.

@Travelicious Love (looking back) and hate (when it is happening) them crazy vacation days where everything goes awry. Sounds like you make the best of them!

Thank you for the tour of Springs. February 2025 I will be there. I have not done The Boathouse yet. It’s been on my list forever. Last time I did City Works and Wine bar George. I have a few treasured art pieces from the art corner.
