Sundiego Posted November 21, 2017 #1 Share Posted November 21, 2017 We are jumping ship from NCL Haven to YC! Looking at the Divina, do we want deck 15 or 16? And from either deck, how do we get to Le Muse? Is it walkable from either deck or do we have to do stairs or elevators to access? This isn't a mobility issue, I'm just curious :) Thanks for the help! ~Denise
Rare Beamafar Posted November 21, 2017 #2 Share Posted November 21, 2017 We've had cabins on both decks 15 & 16. On deck 16, you're one deck up from the Top Sail Lounge and one deck down for the One Pool bar & grill. I preferred being on deck 15 as it was so handy for the TSL. The way I see it, if you want to go to the pool deck you have to go up, anyway. You can always take the elevator if you can't/don't want to walk up two flights. When heading to Le Muse, I always like to go down to deck 7 and walk the length of the ship to the elevator at the aft that takes you up to the restaurant. It gives me an opportunity to 'feel out' what's going on around the ship. I'm sure others will share their preferred route.
Proseccoandsun Posted November 21, 2017 #3 Share Posted November 21, 2017 We were on 15 which is where Top Sail Lounge is located, but it's easily accessible from 15 or 16. One Pool is on 16. Most of YC is at the front of the ship and easy to navigate your way around. Le Muse, on the other hand, is all the way in the back. Your butler will escort you the first day (and every day if you'd like). The easiest way is to go to 7 and pass through lounges and the atrium then take the elevators up to 15 and Le Muse. We would either take a drink with us from TS and stop in the Atrium or lounge to listen to live music for a few minutes, or get a drink on our way. Seaside has totally changed the configuration and everything for YC is forward over a few decks. Happy Sailing!

Rare Beamafar Posted November 21, 2017 #6 Share Posted November 21, 2017 Excellent feedback, thank you! Deck 15 it is! Good choice. It's really handy to be on the same deck as the Top Sail Lounge for first thing in the morning coffee or OJ and the breakfast buffet and even better at night when you've had a nightcap (or 2 )!! ;p

markf Posted November 22, 2017 #8 Share Posted November 22, 2017 just returned try for 15029 which was our room.\, or a room near it --why?? on 15 th floor same deck as top sail and also 2 doors away from a door leading to the guest elevators. in addition near the elevator just for yacht members that go from 14- 18. The walk to le muse is a pain , on the other side of the ship--clearly a planning error. it took us many days to figure out the easiest and most direct way to get there
Proseccoandsun Posted November 22, 2017 #9 Share Posted November 22, 2017 We were on the end in 15033. Was yours one of the square rooms that are slightly larger or at least a better configuration? We didn't mind the walk to Le Muse. I liked to see what was going on everywhere and to see everyone ready for their evening. We also enjoyed the music throughout the ship. But the location is definitely odd by the pool. I'm sure it will be more convenient and has been better planned on Seaside. Can't wait to see TS and OP on Seaside! just returned try for 15029 which was our room.\, or a room near it --why??on 15 th floor same deck as top sail and also 2 doors away from a door leading to the guest elevators. in addition near the elevator just for yacht members that go from 14- 18. Rare Beamafar Posted November 22, 2017 #12 Share Posted November 22, 2017 Whatever you do, do not book one of the cabins at the front of the ship! The balcony is practically unusable when at sea due to wind, and the hull of the ship comes up in front, so you don't have any sea view.

Rare Beamafar Posted November 22, 2017 #14 Share Posted November 22, 2017 here's is the view Bea is referring to not good Pete ............. and that's not quite as bad as the one we had on deck 16! I had to stand on tiptoe to see the sea as the hull was higher on our balcony.
dexddd Posted November 22, 2017 #15 Share Posted November 22, 2017 Getting to Le Muse we found it easiest to just go down to 13 and walk on the guest room floor hallways all the way to the back then back up to 15. Normally not much activity there other than 1-2 room stewards.
chefchick Posted November 22, 2017 #16 Share Posted November 22, 2017 here's is the view Bea is referring to not good Pete Does anyone know (I'm useless at reading deck plans) if Seaside will have any forward facing suites with these kind of balcony configuration problems? We are currently in a YC2 standard balcony but it "holds up to 4 people" and we are only 2. It was the only cabin left when we booked but I am so concerned about being moved at the last minute. A useful balcony is very important to us...I don't want an "upgrade" to a fancy suite with a useless balcony.

I suggest you pose this question on one of the Seaside threads as this one is about Divina so your question may go unnoticed.

I very much doubt one would be available There are no forward facing YC suites on Seaside, the only forward facing cabins are Aurea and Wellness Grand suites, and I'm not sure if all of them have balconies as it doesn't give that info on the deck plans I have
bluefish17 Posted November 22, 2017 #19 Share Posted November 22, 2017 We were on Deck 16 on Divina. We went out the door at the aft end of the corridor and walked our way outside to Le Muse. Didn't need the elevator but occasionally warm and occasionally breezy. Sent from my SM-N950U using Forums mobile app

markf Posted November 23, 2017 #21 Share Posted November 23, 2017 15029 was what I think is a slightly oversized cabin for the yacht club. it is larger than a normal cabin but not as large as a cabin in the NCL Haven Bathroom is ok --with a tub that has the shower. also not the same wow effect as NCL Haven, but I am now a Yacht club enthusiast, after a few haven cruises .. CGTNORMANDIE Posted November 23, 2017 #23 Share Posted November 23, 2017 (edited) Hi Denise - Sundiego, There is one other option that nobody has suggested...that would be Suite 12001 on 12 deck. Most people dismiss this because 12001 is not within the YC enclave...big mistake. We just had 12001 in October and here is what we found. 12001 is located at the very front of the ship...overlooking the bow. It does not have a balcony but it does have big picture windows in both the living room and bedroom. We did not miss the balcony at all...the view was worth it. The suite is 600+ ft...bigger than the Royal Suite. The bathroom is a knockout...full marble with a super large walk-in shower, full Jacuzzi tub and double vanity sinks. This suite can easily accommodate 4 people. The bedroom has a large walk-in closet with vanity makeup area. The bedroom has two sliding doors that can cut it off from the living room completely. There is a safe in each room and the living room has a wonderful closet and drawer arrangement near the entry. It is the only suite in that row that does not have a connecting door to the adjacent suite...very quiet and private. We loved 12001...it was easy to connect with the YC and even easier to connect with the rest of the ship. The funny thing was that none of the other pax on 12 deck had any idea that we had access to the YC. Another benefit was that we were able to invite our other friends, who were in Fantastica cabins, to stop by before they headed off for dinner. It was very nice to have a quiet place to meet and chat with friends. The service with our Butler, morning coffee, or any other request was immediately answered every time we called the Concierge. The service was fantastic. We highly recommend 12001. BTW...the walk to Le Muse was always interesting...and a good excuse to exercise. It makes you get out and experience the rest of the ship. On two occasions we were headed for lunch at Le Muse but ended up having pizza and beer in the buffet...LOL! We did not mind the walk at all.
