Norwaylin Posted December 28, 2017 #1 Share Posted December 28, 2017 (edited) I am writing on behalf of a friend. Someone she knows was on this cruise from Singapore to Sydney. This elderly couple had two cameras and they did not have the cameras when they returned to the UK. The lady died the day after they returned home and the cameras contain some of the last photos taken of them as a couple. I am going to get more information, but am asking if anyone has heard if the cameras were found, maybe returned to the ship's purser, etc. Also, the cameras were with them when taking a cab around December 7th or 8th and went to the Sydney Opera House. Does anyone know which cab companies operate near the port that they may have used? I will recommend the family contact Royal Caribbean and the cab company or companies serving the area. If someone took the cameras, maybe they would have removed the memory cards at least so this family can have their grandparents' pictures. I will add new information when I receive it. I am in the US, but my friend is in the UK. It would be wonderful if at least the memory cards are located. I hope the person or persons who found them is honest and helps this family recover the cameras or memory cards. If anyone has an idea on who to contact, I would appreciate it if you could post it here or send me a private message. THANK YOU. Can someone tell me what cab companies operate in the area of the port and also the Sydney Opera House. The couple may have left their cameras in a cab after going to the Opera House. If contact information or phone numbers of the cab companies are available, that would be appreciated as well. Rare OzKiwiJJ Posted December 28, 2017 #2 Share Posted December 28, 2017 Taxis Combined is the most common taxi group in Sydney so I suggest trying them first. Their lost property number is +61 2 9020 2000.

Rare lyndarra Posted December 28, 2017 #4 Share Posted December 28, 2017 I do hope the cameras are found. Three years ago after a Sydney/Singapore cruise we left a camera in a cab in Singapore when getting out at our hotel. It was never recovered. Rare OzKiwiJJ Posted December 28, 2017 #6 Share Posted December 28, 2017 Silver Service is another. Then there's Uber. Silver Service also operates in conjunction with Taxis Combined. I'm not sure which others operate under that umbrella though.
Docker123 Posted December 28, 2017 #7 Share Posted December 28, 2017 I got a fb feed that listed out a lot of the services that have been contacted to try and find the cameras. Both cameras are fairly small LUMIX machines. FX33/35. Easily overlooked.
