We will be taking a Bermuda cruise in June. Are long pants for men a requirement? Will Bermuda shorts be okay? Are jackets required? Last went on Celebrity in November and dress shorts were fine at dinner.

The guidelines specify nonshorts in the MDR. The guidelines do not differentiate between dress shorts and regular shorts. Jackets are not required, a collared shirt is the

Minimum on Gala Night.

Do any men wear a tuxedo on Gala nights on Holland America?

Yes. The numbers will vary based on the ship and the itinerary, but definitely there are at least some on every cruise.

My last cruise on the Prinsendam looked like at least a plurality, if not a majority, of tuxedos on Gala nights. But that ship was in Europe, and tends to attract a dressy crowd.

An Alaska cruise will have many fewer tuxedos, but you should see at least a smattering of them.

We've seen at LEAST a smattering, and often more, on every Alaska cruise we have taken. :) On the one 14 day RT Seattle Alaska cruise we did, the early seating/fixed was full of long gowns and tuxes. And that was after the more relaxed dress code was introduced.

Just off the Veendam Cuba cruise also, but we saw tuxedos and dinner jackets on some and the majority of the others wore jackets, with or without ties. The minority wore collared shirts without jackets.

At least this is what we saw during our seating in the MDR.
