jetsfan58 Posted October 15, 2017 #1 Share Posted October 15, 2017 Can someone please tell me what are the best cabins to book on the Carnival Elation? Looking for cabins mid ship with an ocean view or inside?
Kwaj girl Posted October 15, 2017 #2 Share Posted October 15, 2017 Look at the deck plans to see what's above and below the cabin you're considering. Best bet- cabins above and below you to avoid public-space noise. And avoid connecting cabins. More likely to hear the noise in the next cabin due to the connecting (locked) door. Avoid a cabin next to a triple or quad....more likely to have noisy kids or a rowdy partying adult group there vs a room with just 2 people (unless they're honeymooners!) tea4ular Posted October 15, 2017 #3 Share Posted October 15, 2017 For an ocean view cabin we loved the Empress deck mid ship - I believe we were in E-121 - it was several years ago but the location was great. I would bet the few balcony cabins there would be great too.
blondie151o Posted October 16, 2017 #4 Share Posted October 16, 2017 I stayed on the upper deck midship on my last cruise. An interior u77. Like the location a lot... close to the steps. In march I'm staying on upper deck again but this time back of the ship in ocean view u181. Sent from my iPhone using Forums

Sent from my iPhone using Forums As experienced Elation cruisers we have found that aft cabins get a lot of vibration from the propulsion systems, and the forward cabins get a lot of the slapping from the waves hitting the hull. Our best inside cabin was E80. The excursions desk is on one wall and cabins on the other. There is no noise or other problems. You are steps away from the atrium and the elevators that take you to the upper decks where all the fun is.

I'm wondering how much of a hassle it would be to try and move up more midship from our rooms u181 & u185? Is it a pain to call & do ? We have early saver rate if that makes any difference. CheifM Posted October 18, 2017 #7 Share Posted October 18, 2017 Our first cruise is in April and we have cabin U-88. Is this a good room?

Herfnerd Posted October 20, 2017 #9 Share Posted October 20, 2017 For some reason we seem to book aft OV's on the Riviera deck on Fantasy class ships. Our last cruise on the Elation we were in R207 - didn't really notice or mind the vibration all that much.......
Wheels87 Posted October 20, 2017 #10 Share Posted October 20, 2017 I second the post about the Empress Deck. I have stayed on that deck many times and never had any issues. I would try to stay as far away from the staircases as possible because some many rude people/children talk loudly in the middle of the night while traversing the hallway. Good luck! marshhawk Posted October 20, 2017 #11 Share Posted October 20, 2017 If you change your cabin, you will be charged a fee. But I would always prefer a window of some kind, than an interior, especially if it is your first cruise.
CheifM Posted October 20, 2017 #12 Share Posted October 20, 2017 Yes I booked a Grand Suite for our first cruise. Doing a lot of first time things since I retired. We went to Disney last month and a cruise in April.
Rare Saint Greg Posted October 20, 2017 #13 Share Posted October 20, 2017 My favorite was Empress Deck...close to the lobby bar...and just one flight of stairs from the main lounge.
