expedited boarding is for Pinnacle and those in Star class suites. (genie escorts you on board)

 

boarding is otherwise : Back to backers, Wedding Parties, Suites then by boarding number. once boarding begins there is very little time between the first group and the last group called. usually under 20 minutes.

Expedited boarding is NOT limited to Pinnacle and star class suites. My husband has expedited on his setsail pass, I do not and we are not in Star class suites or Pinnacle.

We had expedited on Allure last week and it was very smooth.

It is a faster means of clearing security and check in, and was not related to actual call to board. We entered the terminal through a separate line, and we were checked in on an Ipad in about 2 minutes. The security check point was adjacent and we went straight through. We then went up the escalators where we separated into boarding groups.

They still board Suites, Pinnalces, Weddings, etc. first and then load other cruisers accordingly. We got to the port at 10:45ish and were on the ship at 11:45 am.

It is expedited check in NOT boarding.

If you get to the ship after 11:00 chances are that you will walk right in. Anything earlier you will be waiting till boarding has started and it Star Class/Pinnacle, Suites, Diamond +, Diamond and so on.....
