Now how did I miss your review when you first started??? I have to admit I haven't been on CC as much lately since I'm still in the process of going through vacation pictures of my own (no, not a cruise this time). I've started reading the first several pages, but still have some catching up to do. I always look forward to and enjoy your reviews and Patti's pictures and I'm looking forward to following along on this one. Thank you for all of the time you and Patti put into your reviews.

I was wondering when you were going to show up! :D Always glad to have you along for the ride. Welcome aboard!!

Here is the Prime Steakhouse, located on Promenade Deck 5 aft. They serve dinner from 5:30 to 9:30 nightly. There is a $35 per person upcharge. We think it is well worth it. We love the steakhouses on the Dream Class ships as it is a more intimate experience as compared to the steakhouses on other classes. We ate there once each cruise.....

Patti made her way back to the cabin to begin unpacking and wait for the muster drill to begin. I joined her a few minutes later.

We met our room steward Jay, and his assistant Ida, who would be taking care of us for the next two weeks. We told him that we would like twice a day service, and to keep our ice bucket full, which they did no problem!

About 3:30 the muster drill began. Our muster station was in the Southern Lights Dining Room which was three decks below us. They scanned our sail and sign cards as we entered. About 15 minutes later they announced that those who had not yet reached their muster stations would have to attend the “special” muster drill presentation at the Escape Bar, and then proceeded to read off their cabin numbers. It was a list of about twenty cabins. Our muster drill commenced and about 20 minutes later it was all over.

We decided that we would watch our sail away from our balcony, being that the best views would be from the starboard side anyway. Once on the balcony we could see that the passengers on the Disney Fantasy were outside doing their muster drill…..

I hung out on the balcony and in the cabin until it was time for dinner. Patti left for a little while to go check out the shops.

We Had Late Seating Dining in the Southern Lights Restaurant. As we entered, the Polaris Trio Strings played…..

I had emailed the maitre’d prior to the cruise to request a booth for two, and that is exactly what we got. We were seated at table # 607 on the lower level, Deck 3....

Service tonight was a little slow and disjointed. That sometimes happens on the first night. We will keep an eye on it.

After dinner we walked around the ship a little then made our way back to the cabin. Here is the entertainment schedule for the week. It feels great to be out at sea again!!!

Your pics of sailing out of Port Canaveral...reminds me of how neat it is to sail from there...our last sailings have been Charleston...FLL...or Miami...I love Port Canaveral:D

I think Port Canaveral is our second favorite port to sail out of. New York will always be # 1.

On the second paddle board photo - what happened to the dog?

Nothing happened to the dog. Those were two different paddle boards. :D

I just saw your pics of the spa area. We had our first spa balcony cabin on the Magic last March and it was fabulous ! We usually get the week pass for the spa, but we were able to get this cabin for just slightly more than adding a week pass to a standard balcony. I used every part of the spa everyday. I love to go in there to read and relax ! That is pure luxury to me !
