we disembark in Miami but don’t need to be at the airport until 14.00. We can’t do the Everglades ship excursion and airport drop off because they don’t drop you off at airport until after 16.00. We’ll have large suitcases with us so what can we do from 10.00 am

this company can handle your bags from ship to airport freeing you to do something http://myjetservice.com/

Bayside is just outside the port and while 'touristy' is better than sitting at the airport in the opinion of many. You can take a lil boat ride around the 'mansions' of greater Miami from here. UBER or a taxi is around $10

you need to be AT the airport at 1400 for a flight when? .... If your flight is AT 1400 I'd be going straight to the airport .. you want to be there by noon latest. If 1400 is your time giving 2 to 3 hours b4 your flight ... you have time to kill but only a couple of hours. Not enuf to do much.

I would be very reluctant to jump a bus to Miami Beach as is frequently suggested here ... you do not have THAT much time.

The flight home isn’t until 17.00 but yes it’s sounding like our options are minimal. Thanks for replies

Just go to the airport and read.

DON

This is why I can never find a seat at FLL  So many people getting off cruise ships and just sitting around the airport for hours. I fly about once a month, and FLL is the one place where there are always so many people just sitting and waiting! When they call the flight, it always seems like less than 1/4 of the people at the gate actually stand up to board the flight.

Rent a car, many companies run shuttles from the port to MIA. It acts as your luggage storage and your transportation. See Miami Beach, or visit whatever interests you. There are casinos nearby, beaches obviously, have lunch, drive along the coast. Plenty to keep you busy for a few hours.

Actual flight time 17,00 I’ve already allowed 3hrs at the airport. Think it’s going to be a day wasted

Thanks for help

I believe that most lines offer a tour of Miami that will get you to the airport around 1400.
