Hbk5585 Posted June 9, 2010 #251 Share Posted June 9, 2010 Deck - 10 Cabin # - 10606 Class – D2 Front Starboard, Front Port, Back Starboard, Back Port, Central Park, or Boardwalk - Middle of ship Bed near?(balcony or bath) –Bath Quiet Cabin (With comments on problems. Note if connecting. ) – Mostly quiet (You can hear door slaming from cabin next to ours). Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions or privacy was an issue– One side is slightly obstructed due to hump (very slight obstruction). Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - I want to correct a previous post on this stateroom: OVERSIZED. Right next to other D1 hump balconies, slightly smaller than D1 but definately larger than rest of D2's & up. Was wind a problem? No. Agree with previous post about whisteling when balcony door is unlocked (probably all balcony cabins have this issue). Any specific problems with this cabin? One minor problem, there was a linguering odor throughout the week, seemed to most prevalent in 2 places, the bathroom sink & the sofabed. Minor problem because the odor was gone/non-existant 90% of the time in the stateroom. Any other comments? All in all, very nice cabin with a slightly larger balcony than rest of D2's & up. Buckeyebrd Posted June 12, 2010 #252 Share Posted June 12, 2010 Thanks so much for the cabin information!! This is awesome. We are not cruising until October so this was very useful!!! Atimes5inAZ Posted June 14, 2010 #253 Share Posted June 14, 2010 Since there are not too many interior rooms listed here is ours. Deck - 8 Cabin # - 8436 Class – L Front Starboard, Front Port, Back Starboard, Back Port, Central Park, or Boardwalk - Front Port Bed near? (balcony or bath) – Back of room Quiet Cabin (With comments on problems. Note if connecting. ) – A connecting room, but never saw the others. Mostly quiet; could hear adjoining room alarm clock faintly in morning. Balcony View - N/A Balcony Size? N/A Was wind a problem? N/A Any specific problems with this cabin? None Any other comments? We had 4 people in our room (2 adults and 2 teenagers 15 & 13); it was cramped when the sofa bed was out, not a lot of walking around room. Plenty of storage for clothing, suitcases, etc. The location was great, close to elevators, same deck as Central Park (made it very easy to grab breakfast in the morning). dpomes Posted June 16, 2010 #255 Share Posted June 16, 2010 Deck - 7 Cabin # - 660 Class – GS Location - Aft Starboard Bed near?(balcony or bath) – N/A for a suite Quiet Cabin – extremely Balcony View - ocean, no obstructions Balcony Size? - Normal for GS Was wind a problem? No Any specific problems with this cabin? no Any other comments? loved the location of this cabin. very convenient to boardwalk, promenade and central park. Only issue we had was you had to pay attention to which set of elevators (starboard vs port) you get into when going back to the cabin because you can't cross over to the other side if you take the wrong ones. I guess they didn't want to block the boardwalk sign with a walkway. Many times we accidently got in the port side elevators, then had to go down (or up) a deck, cross over, then back to deck 7. This is only an issue on deck 7, aft.

Note if connecting. ) – not connecting a tad noisy specially if balcony door opened Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions or privacy was an issue– a little close to the opposite side, but boardwalk view is nice. Towards the back of the boardwalk and almost above the carousel and below the zip line landing pad Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - I think normal and very spacious Was wind a problem? Not at all. The boardwalk was hot as he'll day and night Any specific problems with this cabin? Nope. Would like to have again Any other comments? Great location, close to everything, but far enough that hallway crowd wasn't an issue

Easy to get to Park Cafe in morning for coffee and good breakfast and lunch.

Note if connecting. ) – Very quiet. Not connecting. Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions or privacy was an issue– Oversized balcony just behind the first hump. Could not see directly the front of the ship, due to being behind the hump, but this never bothered us. Loved starboard side for Eastern Caribbean itinerary. Ship docked on portside at every port, so we had an excellent view. Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Oversized, see above. Was wind a problem? No Any specific problems with this cabin? None Any other comments? We were not happy to have smokers next door. When they smoked on the balcony (which is allowed), their smoke would enter our room, and completely deter us from sitting on our balcony. Not a location issue, but a balcony issue. I wish they had non-smoking balcony cabins.

The view was nice, with no obstructions, but not a spanning view of Central Park, since it was the first cabin. Balcony Size? Jerzgirl79 Posted June 29, 2010 #267 Share Posted June 29, 2010 thx for this list...i will keep checking....i still dont see my cabin sailing in 18 days...maybe i will be the first to review it.... one suggestion...when you make the changes/additions to the document...IF you are using excel can you repeat the column titles on each page....before you convert to PDF? my memory is horrible and i had to keep scrolling up to the topof the first page to see what each column was referring to. Bed near? – Closet Quiet Cabin – Quiet cabin. Connecting cabin, never heard the people in the next cabin. Balcony View - Great view from center hump, no lifeboats below the balcony. We could see straight down to the water. Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Oversize balcony because it is Junior Suite and because it is center hump. Was wind a problem?NO Any specific problems with this cabin? NO Any other comments? Great cabin, very spacious, lots of storage. Loved the location. Faced all the ports. This category cabin has a walk in closet that is across from the bathroom. Given this, having the bed "near the closet" is not an issue like it is on the D category balcony cabins. We had a D8 balcony (6688) on our 12/5 cruise with the bed near the balcony, which was fine. We viewed a D cabin that had the bed next to the closet, which we did not care for.
