insulationbabe Posted December 21, 2009 #1 Share Posted December 21, 2009 We were aboard the Navigator a couple of weeks ago in a junior suite and there were no coffee makers in the junior suites - geez - a month ago we were on the Monarch in a Junior and there was one in the room - don't figure - there was also one in the suite on the Liberty in November, so I don't understand - our poor room steward ran all over the ship to try to accommodate us - just wonder if there just weren't ones available since we got a last minute upgrade?? any info would be helpful - thanks:)
Morecruisesplz Posted December 21, 2009 #2 Share Posted December 21, 2009 We've cruised in all Grandeur categories up to and including a JS and never have seen a coffee maker. The other problem on this ship is that the Seattles Best is just a small shop included with Ben & Jerry's kiosk and you pay for all the coffee there. The only free (included) coffee is in the Windjammer area.
cb at sea Posted December 21, 2009 #3 Share Posted December 21, 2009 We've never had a coffee maker in any of our JS's...and haven't needed one! Room service will bring you a huge pot, or you can get it from WJ!
skandls Posted December 21, 2009 #4 Share Posted December 21, 2009 We are just off the Mariner Dec 13, 2009 cruise. We had a JS - there was a coffee maker and a 'tea kettle'. The coffee maker would make one cup at a time but the 'coffee package' was one that usually made 4 cups. I tried the coffee the first morning - it was way to strong. After that I just went down to the Cafe Promenade and filled my 'travel' mug. I don't know if this is for all JS's - we were on the floor with all the regular suites. mclou Posted December 21, 2009 #5 Share Posted December 21, 2009 Just off Grandeur on 12/17. There was a coffee maker/tea kettle in our JS. Don't know how well it worked as we didn't use it.

All JS's fleet wide are supposed to have them now. If your JS does not have it, and you want it, ask for it. They do take up desk space, and it's possible the previous tenants asked to have them removed.

Cruzaholic41 Posted December 21, 2009 #8 Share Posted December 21, 2009 Not every ship has them - as of November, Radiance personnel insisted that passengers weren't entitled to them. Well then, Radiance needs to reviews their own cruise line's policies. This is straight from the RCI website. This is dated February, 2009: Not to be forgotten, guests occupying Junior Suite category staterooms and distinguished by their silver SeaPass cards enjoy many onboard benefits to make their cruise memorable. Junior suites offer complimentary Vitality bathroom amenities, coffee and tea service ensuite, terrycloth bathrobes for use onboard, and Royal Caribbean's plush duvet and bedding. Throughout, a dedicated suite attendant will cater to guests' special requests and deliver Royal Caribbean's renowned Gold Anchor Service.

But no matter how much one waves that policy in their faces, they didn't have the coffeemakers onboard, so it didn't do any good.
Aquahound Posted December 21, 2009 #10 Share Posted December 21, 2009 I was just on Radiance - 11/30-12/11. They did have coffee makers in the suites, including the JS one of my friends was staying in.
